whoa holy fuck, a wave of total repaints for the pcc figures, and all this by wave 3... that is sad

 

I agree with Blurr, but I'm tired or repaints over and over and over again. Even if a mold it spectacular, I don't end up getting every variant of it.

I do like the generations line, that's about all

 

Its a limited line. Expect all of wave 2 to be repainted for wave 5 or 6.

2: Rallybots & Destructicons
3: Destrons & Protectobots
4: Constructicons & Dinobots

 

It seems to me the entire line is pretty much designed with repaints in mind. I wouldn't be surprised if by wave 6 or 7 we've had repaints of all of the 2-pack scouts we've seen so far as 5-pack leaders. We know there is at least one more totally original 5-pack coming with the PCC Dinobot set.

 

HA Sideswipe gets a repaint? Of the whole line so far, that was probably the least impressive mold.

I'll get up to three of the same mold if I really love it.

Exception: Classic Seekers mold and its retoolings, which I'd buy 9 of. (Originals, Coneheads, Acid Storm, Sunstorm, and another one).

exactly. any repaint of the others wouldnt make senses but a better choice would have been to do BB as stealth BB with the white shirt Sam.

Just buy the deco you like the most, if you want the mold/character at all. Makes sense to me, right?

Nah, I'd want a different character. That's the other rule- I don't buy repaints of the same mold as the same character. So no Roadbuster Magnus, no Unicron Trilogy Galvatrons, etc.

 

I thought the Constructicon leader was Sledge from the 2-packs repainted with new limbs?

Right now all I can think of as far as PCC repaints go is Leadfoot as Lightspeed, the Destructicon's left foot (the car with the big spike front) as Nosecone, both Autobot jet limbs as Strafe and Scattershot, and a new motorcycle/arm limb as Afterburner.

I can dig the leader repaints but the drones.......not so much. When I think Stunticons I don't think helicopters and missile tank

Would have considered the Sideswipe if he was completely black in bot mode. That would have actually made a pretty sick repaint. May still pick it up if it hits clearance.

 

That may because the Destrons aren't the Stunticons. They're an entirely different group.

 

Doubtable, but possible. If I remember correctly they usually tend to show stuff at the panels before putting it out though.

 

I definitely want that black Sideswipe.   And since people hate it, it makes finding him easier!
