I had to disassemble my bee and rearrange the gears in his leg automorph to prevent the wheel scraping on mine. It's definitely a QC problem, and apparently a fairly common one.

I did the same thing this morning man. Mine cruises across the table with ease now.

Bought my HFTD 'Bee today. No problems with him, though I don't understand why his axe is upside down. It shows it both upside down and right side up in the instructions, but it's not a QC problem since the way it is constructed there is no way it could be flipped and still work properly. Regardless, I like him. He really does tower over deluxe Ironhide.

I like this figure, but like others I'm having TF issues. Not in the legs or the head, both of which are ok for me.

My issue is getting the axe arm tucked away properly. I had to fiddle for about half an hour, almost forcing and straining stuff until I somehow found a sweet point that got the arm in, the legs tucked into it and the wheel and door section closed.

    I'm contemplating removing the axe.

I had this too till I figured it out. There is that hinge in the waist that folds back and gets the entire leg assembly out of the way. When it's swung back-you can put the arms in place first. Then transform the legs to car mode and swing the hinge back to bring the rear of the car in position. You still have to wiggle the leg peices a little, but it's not nearly as bad as trying to force the axe arm in. Oh yeah-you also wanna do the roof last, as it will just get in the way. Hope I explained it good enough to understand.

EDIT- I took some pics to help me explain.

I think everyone has some Bumblebee fatigue. It's a shame because many people are going to pass this figure up without realizing that it's a totally redesigned transformation with *good* gimmicks. Seeing this all scrunched up inside the plastic bubble doesn't help to sell him either. :(

He's an amazing figure. It is the HA figure in deluxe form, and in some ways better(more accurate legs, two fists, more cohesive arm weaponry).

I think the first thing people should know about this figure is to ignore how it looks in the package. Seriously- Whoever was in charge should have taken one look at that and said "OK, lets just package it in vehicle mode". :lol

That would have been a terrible idea.

in vehicle mode, it looks like "just another bumblebee". you can't tell that it's a new mold unless you look at the cut lines, or notice the change in yellow. every kid, every parent would say "already got that".

packaging it in bot mode shows it's a new mold, which is what they had to do to get people's attention. it's just a shame about how they positioned him in the bubble.

To be fair, the back of the card is pretty nice. It's what sold me.

He's the best representation of the character to date. Just wish they would Premium him up. I'm not sure if I'd be willing to do it myself... a few more paint apps for detailing and he's perfect, like what savio prime has done with him.

Agreed! Hell, I would have thought he was Preview 'Bee if I didn't read this site or see the open bot mode.

You're also right about the in-package pose. That squat is hilarious, but in the end it slightly betrays just how nice this version is over all others. Hell, I think it's one of the best figures in the entire RotF/TFTM line overall.

man!, finally got my BBBB! i have been searching everywhere for it in Hong Kong for the past 2 weeks. i managed to see one on display at a Toy R Us but none instock so i wrote to them and they actually called me back and reserved the only one left in stock for me!!!! pretty nice customer service! ; ) btw he is pretty awesome for my first movie BB!

why did they had his knees bent and arms spread open looking so silly in his packaging????

Because he's too tall to fit into the dimensions of the bubble so they had to scrunch him. It was the only option though, as packaging him in car mode would have been a terrible idea. :p

I really like this mold of Bumblebee. I already have too many molds, but this one intrigued me. It did not disappoint.
