Well, you could go for an egyptian sphinx, but might I suggest an oriental dragon? They don't have wings, they're often coloured red and you don't get much more regal!  

(Note: he'd have FOUR claws, due to him being the Autobot equivalent of a prince)

Hydras and Krakens have the problem's of finding a place to put the tenticles/heads, Fenrir's a raving homicidal maniac and wouldn't a chimera be too much like Leo Convoy?

Or, you could do a Manticore Prime...

 

well, do a version of magnus as fenrir... cuz he's white and stuff. A chimera could include the heads of the animals that it's made up of or have a different head besides the lion, unless that's a manticore. Although the sphinx could be cool... the problem would be the sphinx head. would it have a prime or human head. Anyway, I like this thread.

Thanks for the suggestions but alot of the creatures people have suggested are creatures that are more on the evil side. But the only characters that are gonna be in my story are Prime and megatron and maybe Soundwave. But im still not sure on Soundwave. So far i have Megatron as a hyra, if i put Soundwave in it he will be a chimera and the dragon head and goat head will come off as Rumble and Frenzy. and then theres the characters that are mine. Which they are a phoenix, Fenrir, kraken, roc, maybe a giant scarab. I've only come up with the plot so far. It has a little of G1 and beast wars in it. The beginning of the story is kinda like G1 where the autobots and deceptions crash on earth but instead of waking in 1984 they wake in around 1000 BC or so.

You could make Prime a Griffon without giving him wings in robot mode. Just have the wings form into a cape, or detach to make a shield.

I think it would of been cool if instead of making alt Decepticons, make ones of the same level of detail that transformed into mythical beasts.
