Let's see what we can do with (the porbably upcoming) WFC Starscream figure =)

As i said, it's about turning a jet into a tank.

first, let me just suggest a thicker skin when people make crits. Yes, at the end of the day this is your custom to do with as you see fit, in terms of its construction. but pointing out "where's yours, this is how I did it" you honestly don't need to defend yourself so hard.

    Why is that?

Cuz quite frankly, this thing is awesome. I for one LOVE reinventions of figs. I never would have thought to use BM Jetstorm. And yeah the tank mode sacrifices for the jet mode a bit. It does. but i don't care. So does that Dreadwing/bb/whatever thing that was a bomber that had a tank mode. it's on treads, it's imposing, and it has a turret. that spells tank to me.

I like the colors, and i enjoy the visor you put on him. How did you do that? I'm getting ready to put a visor on something, and i'd like your thoughts.

I'm working on a Cybertronian Blitzwing as well, and i expect similar comments of how far removed it is from the original, and that's okay too.

anyway, i just wanted to say kudos, you did a great job. and talk to me about that visor.

You don't have to do a thing, if it looks perfect to you then you can leave it like that. We're just offering our opinions on what might make the figure better, that's all, you can take 'em or leave 'em.

True, but the yellow isn't as yelow-orange as it is on your custom. I myself think it contrasts too much with the tan and purple, but if you're fine with it than I'm okay with that. It is your figure after all.

That can be prevented if you seal the paint on the parts. While it doesn't ensure the paint won't still wear off for the rest of time, it will last a few years at least, and that way you don't have to keep repainting to fix it up every now and then.

Er...you put "War for Cybertron" in the title, so I think that's why people are thinking this is supposed to be from WfC, just saying.

Now THAT is a much nicer and more Blitzwing-y head! Nice job.

Hehe.. uhm.. wait. you mean afterwards? I'd like to be recommended to some sealing stuff, thanks ahead =)

^__^ yeah, but it's just.. well i think it fits best in the WfC line doesnt it? =P

    @ Maximo Prime:
    Why is that?
Cos i DO want you to make a better one =). Im a horrible customer (compared to our gods ;D) and id really enjoy some awesome Blitzwing customs. Unfortunately, the point is that i didnt see anyone whos had the same idea as me.. they always tried to smash a tank and a jet together and somehow...... well you know all these Blitzwing customs and I hate those. so i needed to share my idea (my Blitzwing is just an example. ONE!). Im looking forward to see you using my idea of transforming a jet into a plane and therefore creating a MOST impressive Blitzwing!!! :)
About the visor... i wouldnt recommend anyone to do it like me =/. You know, im not into customizing. I have about 8 colors for example.. On the contrary i get very creative (resulting in that Blitzwing. simple idea but it worked out quite well). Anyway, i made the visor out of this:

oh god i destroyed the top piece of on of these when i cut that damn visor off the key:

    You've been warned! ;D

Well, for my customs I use Dullcoate simply because that way I save on materials (I use it for other modeling projects, too), but it's not the best stuff out there for sealing customs (especially things like Transformers that have a lot of friction/rubbing points). Oh, and it also WILL irreversably fog up unpainted transparent plastic, too, including your Blitzwing's visor in all likleyhood if you used it without masking it off first.

Some of the more serious modelers around here tend to use something called "Future Floor Finish". It's not cheap I'm guessing because it's actually stuff meant for hardwood floors I'm guessing, but if used right it can really seal up paintjobs nicely. You'll have to ask around, though, since I've yet to do something nearly as heavily-involved as your Blitzwing.

Nice loving the head sculpt a lot more now. How ever may I ask if it's not meant to be a WFC blitzwing and it's meant to be a cybertron blitzwing, why call the post War for cybertron Blitzwing I am confused. Also try a little sculpting puddy in the middle of the eye visor and see how it turns out it may help give a better feel off for it.

He means that Blitzy's nose sticks out a little from under the visor. don't putty all the way across, but maybe like halfway, he means.

i see the word fuck used all over, but it's just good manners to use it sparingly.

grabbed out a cyberkey, and i'm gonna give it a shot. Again, good call!!
