If he does the Dino Cassettes, I would be shocked. He's a HM fan. I wouldn't expect much beyond that.

I'm not usually a fan of KO stuff but these look SO good and the price is so reasonable that I picked up 4 sets. I really hope they keep going with sets like this. Seriously with the quality of these so high, what is the major difference with something like this and the Encore series other than not being licensed?

Unbelievable. He had 7 sets available when I left for dinner and now he's down to 1 set again already.

I'm not surprised. They seller on eBay was selling his sets very fast. His listings usually didn't last the day. Now that iOffer is getting more coverage, they are disappearing at rapid pace there. A few weeks ago, that seller (and maker) over on iOffer had 20 or so available for a long time. He just wasn't getting any traffic.

One thing we can all agree on: there is a clear demand for these sets. Highlights another missed opportunity on Hasbro/Takara's part. I highly doubt they will ever reissue these HMs.

He is selling them on Ebay as well:

    Headmaster Giftset

    There are 6 available still.

And "thanks" for the help, sheesh. I expected better of the people who managed to buy the toy then ignoring my question about how to use that blasted Ioffer. I still don't know why I could not accept his offer, and neither does the seller.

No need to get upset. I sympathize. I signed up on iOffer solely to buy this set of HMs. I wish I had more answers for you. The messaging system is a little goofy IMO. Plus I don't like how iOffer has a hard time recognizing if you paid via PayPal. The site is very rough around the edges. Also, it doesn't help that the seller knows very little english (from what I gather).

The only answer I have for you regarding your offer is this: he did not have any available/in stock at the time. If you may have noticed, he has been selling A LOT over the last week.

Regarding the seller on eBay, I believe he is a friend of the seller/maker on iOffer.

@Deefuz - There have been worse offenders. One guy was trying to pass his KO Spike as an original. He wanted/wants $180. At least the California guy is offering 2 sets. Goodness, though, that was painful to read in that font.

The shipping is a little pricey considering the annoying habit some chinese sellers have of not posting things in boxes and how tiny the set is.

Also I don't even especially want a box for them so I don't feel a need to pay extra for that when loose would have een fine for me if I saved a few bucks on the selling price.

I'd recommend to anyone who wants to use e-bay to buy these to use a cashback site or voucher codes etc... if they can to compensate for the high shipping cost a little well by 3% or so.

The seller on iOffer shipped mine in a sturdy box with bubble wrap. Plus it was EMS. I don't think the shipping is all that pricey considering the shipping method.

As for the box, I love the artwork and design on it. It's a beautiful display piece that blends well with other G1 items.

Also, not sure what you are referring to when you mention cashback. Are you referring to coupons and such? I know eBay has the eBay bucks running for buyers. That does give you a little back in return.

I really like the packaging on this too, the whole giftset look really is snazzy. Makes me think I'll probably try and buy 2 of these sets.

I GOT ONE! (Sorry, but "IT'S SO FLUFFY!" was taken.)
Now, for some reason, I want to get my hands on a 2nd Spike, Loafer, and Kirk (although an all-white cast would better suit my needs).

Kirk would be repainted for an experiment of mine -- I wondered about 10 yrs. ago what he'd look like if he were repainted into Gundam colors (blue Nebulan chest, red painted robot face with golden yellow eyes and antennae, etc).
As for Spike, I've always wanted one with a fleshtone colored face (in human mode). (I think I'll call him "Sam". :lol )
I'm sure Loafer is a nice enough character, but looking at his colors, I keep thinking of Henry Masterson, the body-jacking Headmaster. (I have a Hosehead, Skullcruncher, and Squeezeplay he can take for a ride.)

Yay! Finally got my set. (Slowest. EMS. Ever.)

Quality is great on mine. I just one tiny piece of mold flash to trim off Lodoni, which is certainly no more than I've experienced with genuine HasTak stuff.

Now to see about tracking down some Transtectors....

Transtectors shouldn't be a problem. I was joking with a friend about how -- even in the '80s -- Headmasters (as well as Powermasters, and to a lesser degree, Targetmasters) could be in spit-shined shape, but would lose 7/8 or 9/10 of their value if the HM/PM/TM figure was missing. (Fort Max and his cousins being the only exception.) In contrast, a Headmaster can be in CRAPTACULAR condition (yellowing, moth-eaten decals, etc.) and still be worth $70-90 if the Headmaster is present.

Yeah, headless Headmasters go for 4-5$, especially the 1988 ones.

26$ for shipping is reasonable, Redalert Rescue. China has a weird shipping service, even the smallest package costs a lot, but if you order more stuff, the cost does not rise so steeply.

Well, I'll say... this is SERVICE! EMS was so fast, the package arrived today, only 2-3 days after I ordered it!

Here are some pics below - words cannot describe how awed I felt to hold these toys in my hands, toys I never even dreamed of getting...

Quality is great - I took pic of a KO Mirage next to them, the plastic of these is much better quality, it really FEELS G1. I will dig out my headmasters and take pictures with them next, the new heads look great. Especially Shuffler - in head mode, he looks like Bruticus' head.

Btw - info for hardcore collectors - they are all missing the Takara/1987 labels, so it'll be easy to tell them apart from the real ones.

Oh, and judging by the packaging and the stuff written on the inside flap of the box, he plans to make the other 1987 and 88 headmasters next!

Got a message from eBay today that the auctions for these guys had been removed "because the copyright or trademark owner of this product reported that they believe the item may not be authentic".

If someone from HasTak did report these, I have to wonder if it's more because of the use of the names, logo, and slogan on the packaging than the toys themselves.

It was fantasy-toys. However, I don't think you will find him listing on eBay anymore. He can be found, however, on iOffer now.
