Played 3 missions of the Decepticon campaign, a co-op campaign mission, and an escalation match last night. Despite some minor qualms about a lack of G1 authenticity (Weaving-ish Megatron, transformation sound, and such), awesome game is otherwise awesome.

Control scheme B is similar to the control scheme in Armada, and I feel comfortable with it. I'm as pleased as punch about that.

Soundwave is definitely my favorite character so far. From his voice to his abilities, he makes me grin when I play as him.

 

Wait until you get to the Autobot equivalent of those levels.

 

I'm in love with this game. I was sure it would be 'allright', but I never expected it to be this good.

It's fun and overcomes the common TF game problems - boring story, bad controls, and lame enemies ("Oh, here comes another drone/clone/Starcream duplicate")

I love the story elements (Starscream as a former Autobot, The Aerialbots are not just five guys, but an army of flight-capable Autobots equivilent to Decepticon Seekers) and can't get over how much fun it is to participate in the 'Great War'.

The only tiiiny issue I have is that there are so few unique characters in the game. I mean, in a series like Transformers, where there are hundreds of unique individuals (that we know of) I find it a bit underwhelming that there are only 20 or so 'characters' in the game.

This game has a fantastic foundation. Hopefully there will be a Transformers 2 (taking the new storyline to a revised version of G1 on earth) with more characters and tighter shooting controls (and/or more ammo).
I'm amazed at how good the graphics are. Long as you have the brightness setting right, everything looks smooth and vivid. (For fun, tho, crank the brightness, and the game suddenly looks like a PS1 game - High Moon got away with murder when it comes to filters!!!)

 

Yeah I forgot about that. That's one thing that annoyed me in co-op campaign. I was always running out of ammo, and had a hard time finding more.

Whoever said Brawl sounded close to his cartoon version was spot on. I'm thinking his VA must've either been a fan or really did his research. He's a pretty minor character, and some of the other characters aren't so accurate.

On that note, why couldn't Cullen do Ironhide too?

Also, I wish they had changed "Dark Energon" to "Plasma Energy" or "Plasma Energon". Even the boss chamber in the 2nd Con mission reminded me of the plasma energy chamber. Would've tied into the show nicely.

Edit: Oh yeah, and some good dialogue in this game. Megatron has some nice lines.

I am very jealous of the 360/PS3 owners! I didn't realize that the Wii version would be such a let down. I'm a very casual gamer but I have been excited for this game for a while now. I just don't get why the Nintendo version is so different.

I love this game so much! Awesome gameplay, but too bad that there's no local co-op. As the OP stated, Warpath was done perfectly. KABLAM!!!
