Guys, I'm really really sorry that it did not work out.

If it's any consolation, it was only me, TurboRyde, Enop, and Ziero, with Shamchi mixed in here and there. And to make maters worse, my Playstation froze mid match and it kicked everybodY!!!! ARGH!

Saturday's match was just not what I had envisioned it to be. Shame on me for assuming that everyone had the DLC, and shame on Luxoflux for disallowing non-dlc players from joining matches hosted by dlc players. BUT, I suppose they did that for map purposes.

Anyway, I'm sure we will run across each other either on this game again in the future, TF3's console game, or of course the upcoming WAR FOR CYBERTRON!!!!!

Despite our technical difficulties, I would like to thank everyone for making the Battle Royales that we did have, both in the past and most recent, a success. It has been some of the most fun online play that I have had on the PS3.

So, as we prepare to trade in, store away, give away, or flat out forget about the ROTF video game, let's remember that it brought a whole new level of Transformers gaming excitement to our community and it introduced us to many new friends.

Bring on WFC! May your enemies have mercy on your soul! MWAHAHA!

 

I'm keeping my copy of ROTF! I'm sure one day I will play it again even if it's only single player, which I never even bothered to finish. But I do hope we will play it again together!

 

After playing it again it made me realize just how much fun the game could be. I see no reason to stop playing it completely, and there's no reason why we can't have another tourny in the future or something  

 

But more for WFC! =) XP

 

I love your attitudes!!! My thoughts EXACTLY! I will be keeping this game for future play for sure. But, I'm not a hardcore gamer. Hardcore gamers are more of the "beat the game, collect all the goodies, play a little bit of multiplayer, then forget about it". I've still got a lot of playing time with this title, and I'm excited about it.

Maybe I'll try to set up another Nostalgia Battle before TF3's inevitable title releases. Who knows. We'll see where the Transformers world takes us!

Anyone calling in sick Tuesday or Wednesday?? I think I'll just plan on playing WFC late into Tuesday night and being sleepy at work on Wednesday. On the PS3 WFC clan page, people already have the game! HOW!? One said Sears has it. No fair. :-( Getting mine at Gamestop.

 

Too bad I couldn't join in the match with you guys. I'm definitely holding on to my copy of ROTF, if only for multiplayer, at least until TF3 comes out and is (hopefully) even better.

But in the meantime, there's WFC! I just have to wait until I get back from vacation to play it.

 

I'm sorely tempted to calling in sick and may do it. I'm keeping ROTF I enjoyed the game more than the movie.

 

I most likely won't even get the game till a few days after the official release. I pre-ordered it online from Best Buy to get Jazz and decided to just have them ship it instead of me going all the way out there to pick it up. I'm sure the game will be fun, but I doubt I'll even jump into competitive MP until after I beat the actual game and hopefully unlock as many chassis as I can.

 

I'll Fight For one last time on this game...then it's on in WFC

Hopefully if they make another movie based TF game I hope they learn from WFC and ROTF on how to make a good transformers game, making a transformer characteray not be necessary because ppl really want to play as their childhood favorites from cybertron on earth styled out in a new way, but making small maps and alot of other bad decisions doesn't help that, I think WFC is goin in the right direction and I got 2 hours to wait till I can play it T_T it's horrible playing the waiting game.

 

do me a favor, after playing the game, tell me how the controls in WFC are like. similiar to what game?

Controls are pretty fluid still it's getting used to the whole thing is what's gonna be tricky for me

Postin controls for you:

R1 fire
L1 Aim
R2/L2 Abilities
Square Reload
X jump, can double jump
Circle Grenade
Triangle Swap weapons
L3 Transform
R3 Melee

 

You can also switch to an ALT control scheme that puts transforming on Triangle. I pretty much adopted this one day 1, since it felt like the old Armada game.
