I walked into Sears at Jmall and walked out with War for Cybertron for PS3. They broke street date on the game.
I wanted shockwave as well, but I figure there has got be a way for me to get the code. I am pretty sure I can get Jazz's code already.
You could technically reserve the game, buy it, and then return it, keeping the code (if it's a loose code and not built into the case).
today i went to best buy to preorder for Jazz. they said it couldnt be preordered, but the guy working said that he thinks all of their copies just has the code in with it. let's hope, cuz i friggin want jazz
I had that problem too. It's because lately Best Buy has been making all their games be preordered through their website. I raised hell with them at the "customer service" lane...and got nothing of course.
Dont get me started on Best Buy, how can they make buying a laptop so difficult? Waiting almost an hour for someone to climb some stairs is ridiculous, and dont get me started on their return policy.

I wouldn't flame you. I just know that i've tried to preorder 2 games there in the last 6 months and had the same problem both times. Although it could be that the clerks I went to had no clue how to preorder a game...

I still haven't even set my PSN account yet. I have had the PS3 for like 2 months. They still fine people as far as I know, but Sears has been breaking street dates all over the country.
As a follow up. Best Buy did not do an in store preorder for War for Cybertron. You can preorder it online and pick it up at the store though. The games have not arrived yet either. Looks like the code will be packed in the case.
I bought a Plasma TV there, and it only took 3 days to get dead pixels. I returned it for another, and 3 days later it had dead pixels. I decided to just return it and get a refund so I could buy a TV from Wal-Mart. Had to wait for like a week for a refund check in the mail instead of giving it to me then. I swore from that day on to never buy anything over $50 from there ever again. I would boycott them forever, but sometimes they sell TV series DVDs really cheap.
You can't blame the people who work there for the quality of their equipment though. We all gotta have jobs, I work at the freaking Dollar Tree... know what I mean?
No, but I can blame them for making me wait a WEEK before giving me my money back for an item I returned right then. They didn't wait a week for me to pay when I bought it. It's the return policy I blame them for and consider a crappy.
Did you pay with a check? The policy from corporate is that you have to wait X number of days. I don't know what it is, again I work in the warehouse. Other than that I have no idea why they would make you wait. As tip to anyone, do not buy the Dynex TV, the quality is poor. Save your money until you can get a Samsung or LG. Even the Isignia would be better, LG makes them for us.
I paid with my Visa Debit card. It was electronically removed from my bank account the very day I walked out with the TV. The policy is for anything over $500, they don't give you a refund on the spot. A check is mailed to you and it takes 7-10 days.
Which store is this? That doesn't sound right to me. I'll look up the policy tomorrow, fortunately my last day before Botcon. The Outer Loop Best Buy is gonna have a whooping 6 copies of War for Cybertron on PS3 and 9 on X-box. 4 of each kind for the DS and 4 copies of the game for Wii. Oh yeah and 2 strategy guides.
