Any particular reason why you're giving it to Sony this year?

Well, they did do a good job at presentation, but that;s just not enough. I was only interested in 2 or 3 games of what they showed.

I wouldn't say Sony failed. Their presentation was good, but it dragged on.

Overall Nintendo finally made a presentation worth watching.

They didn't dwell on statistics and they didn't focus on 3rd party titles that didn't interest anyone. They kept the show going.

So, just want to be clear, Sony will downgrade everyone to Silver subscription. If you pay $49.99 then you are upgraded to a Gold, or whatever precious metal category, subscription. Then if you fail to renew your subscription on time then what happens? I saw someone say you loose everything. What's everything? What does that $49.99 get me? One is still able to go online and play with the Silver subscription, right? I've only had my PS3 for about 6 months and not up to date on eveything PS3. Just want to know what to expect.

Not watching E3 currently at work.

Optimus62, anything you download while under the "Gold" membership stays as long as you have the membership. Once it expires, anything that you got exclusive from the membership will go away.

Anyways, I say Sony won E3. Not because they had awesome stuff, but more because they sucked less than Nintendo and Microsoft. Microsoft did nothing for me game-wise, but they did peak my interest with the slimmer 360.

Nintendo's main part of the presentation was games, and most of them were very lackluster to me. I am not a big Zelda fan, and while the game looks nice, it doesn't do anything for me. Wii Party is a joke. The only game that I want is Metroid. The 3DS is an interesting design, but since the people not at E3 didn't get a true demo, I am holding off judgement.

The reason Sony won E3 for me was the fact that they made me want the Move. While the games going with the Move don't look great, playing Heavy Rain with motion controls sold me. Gran Turismo 5 was already high on my list, and now that we have a true release date, makes me even more excited. While I know Dead Space 2 isn't a PS3-exclusive title, the limited edition version makes me want it more.

So while all the shows were lackluster, I picked a winner from the lesser of 3 evils.

Sony said demos, game content, and other things exclusive to subscription payers. Stop paying and those demos, game content, and the other things exclusive just go away.

Don't recall them saying Heavy Rain will work with Move. Was it one of the games that'll get a patch?

Yeah, there will be an update for it once the Move comes out. It was one of the titles that flashed across the screen when talking about the Move-compatible games.

You get access to voice chat, early demos, free games and I didn't get the rest. If you don't renew, you lose all the free games and extras you got due to the gold account. Still can play online with Silver.

They had the most entertaining and exciting presentation for me. I'm not a Sony fanboi or anything, as I don't own any consoles (just a really lovely PC), but I just felt they put on the best show compared to the other two big wigs.

There are two ways to declare who won E3 - subjectively and objectively.

Subjectively, its all about what worked for you. If Kinect moves you 360 won. If Classic Nintendo is your thing, they grooved a fastball for ya. Sony... well, I haven't seen it yet, but again there will be those who prefer what they had to offer.

Objectively, the point of the show is to create buzz and generate sales. And that's why, no matter how much we say Nintendo blew it in 2008, the truth is their focus on WiiFit dominated the MSM coverage and paid off in spades at the registers.

I'll be curious to see how the three new bits of hardware (the real focus of the show) get received by the wider gaming community. Will Move or Kinect dethrone the Wii, or be seen as pale knockoffs? And will the 3DS be the new DS, or the new Virtual Boy?

    Time will tell.

So since I missed the live conference, what is this Steam/PSN business? Im a bit of a Valve/PS3 fanboy, and I want all the details.

Also was The Last Guardian shown? Is there a date for it?

Its Steamworks. Your save can be used on the PC and PS3 version.

So if its Steamworks, does that mean that I can use steam chat while playing Portal 2 on a PS3 or something?

According to Kotaku, yes I think.

At first they said Steam then they said saves can be used across the PS3 and PC now it says that.

No footage or updates were given on it, which was a bummer.

Yay! I get to find out who the exact same killer is AGAIN?!

Move didn't really interest me much. They showed their answer to Zelda which was an uninteresting romp, and their Tiger Woods demo was a little boring. Their core games were far more interesting- however, their dedication to sucking money out of people's wallets was a very big turnoff.

Nintendo did it for me, personally. But again, all opinion based.
