Is Gamestop.com’s latest Shockwave pre-order ad simply an ad or an ad with a hidden message? Will gamers be able to choose game soundtracks during play? Will such a function be assessable upon defeating Shockwave’s or some else’s hit percentage or some other thing? I like the current soundtrack—it sounds great—but I for one wouldn’t mind getting a little more G1 in my War For Cybertron
I don't know how it works on PS3, but I do know that you can play music saved on your Xbox in place of the normal game music whenever you like, for pretty much any game. The need for the feature in the game would be unnecessary. ...I've been guilty of playing Halo to "The Touch" from time to time...
I do the same on ps3 while playing motorstorm, but also throw in dare. it's awesome wen u make a comeback on the final lap while the Touch is playing. how bout soundwave still transforming into a cassette player, triple changer? i like it. hopefully the cassettes aren't far behind.
That's not exactly what I meant. I meant soundtracks within the game. Matt Tieger has said the game has some musical surprises amongst others. Gamestops commercial probably isn't just a throwback to G1, but a hint of things to come, which is why I asked the question up top. I was wondering if an Easter egg in the form of music, voiceovers, skins, etc. would be assessable after completing the game/satisfying a pre-set requirement.
id really be suprised if we can play our own music its pretty rare on the PS3 even though it can be done(patch allowing this). to answer your question yes i probably think well get some special unlockables. what those would be i dunno would be cool to get a classic version of each character as a skin or somthing. and most of the stuff you see in gamestop commercials are just for the laugh. i do think the possibilty of a triple changer soundwave is there though seeing as how this is the second time weve seen his so called boombox mode... blah its geting more and more difficult waiting for this game.
Good thinking. That would be pretty awesome. It would be cool if there were other things besides songs, though. Maybe like stronger weapons or something.
well we already know theres unlockable skins, weapons and what not to use in multiplayer through the singleplayer campaing and through the multiplayer XP system now we just have to wait and find out if they added the unique music and epic music well all love .....
Well Soundwave is a leader class, and they do have that "war cry" ability. Maybe his war cry is blasting cheesy inspirational 80's rock.

ok...that vid was hilarious. Also....since when did Soundwave have a music player mode? He changes into a truck in the game.
When we all first saw him, we thought he was a boombox--we were all wondering what the hell a boombox was doing on Cybertron. We later that he would be a truck. There is a part in the game in which he transforms into what looks like a boombox for something (our first triple changer?).
He apparently has a weaponized truck mode with some sort of sonic wave blasters, this has been seen in various trailers where he is trying to blast Prime and Bumblebee with noise. But anyway, I think "The Touch" is put in for laughs. What I'm more impressed by is getting to hear Shockwave and Starscream's voices. Shock sounds good, I dunno about Screamer.
I'm just waiting(wish I knew how to save a Youtube Vid and I'd do it) for someone to replace "The Touch" with "Never Gonna Give You Up" in the video, now THAT would rock
You really shouldn't read so much into a Gamestop commercial that's advertising it's pre-order bonus character more then the actual game itself. All Shockwave's comments meant was that because he was a better shot, Megatron put him in charge over the other two "second in commands" that were there.
That's a great gag. I don't think it's a hint at anything. I think it's just a really well-thought-out nod at old school Shockwave.
It's a joke. When The Dinobots use the Space Bridge Shockwave couldn't hit the side of a barn then gets frustrated when they steal all sorts of crap.(Happens with Spike,Wheeljack and a few others too)
