I feel that there's an unexploited niche in the card market here.

    Happy Birthday Mum/Aunt! :bday

I think it'd be even more hilarious if they role-played some incest before they found out they were actually being incestual.

But in all seriousness, wouldn't their mutant child give them some sort of hint that maybe they shouldn't be keeping it in the family?

Oh man, that must have been an awkward conversation......

They said they're going to have more children... the fuck? I don't think I would....

    Eh, least they're happy.

Hey, royal families did it all the time, especially the Egyptians. Gotta keep that royal blood line "pure."

Then again, that might explain why many rulers never made the best of decisions...

Hey, they already broke the eggs, might as well make some omelets while they still can.

You can't "undo" the kid they had, so rather than let everyone suffer they should live their lives out like they originally intended before finding out they were related.

sorry, if this offends anyone just had say it to cope with the stupidity of this situation.....    but, Just an opinion of things everyone at least need to do to try and avoid this in the future ... (which includes that donated stuff :lol  )

    • Each parent has equal access to the child "or" at least child is told of who their parents are even if it is not convenient.
    • It is an absolute requirement to tell the child, who their family are even "if" it is a inconvenience for their mother/father or anyone in the family.
    • After the child is 18yrs old (if not at least when puberty starts  ) they should be allowed "Access to" or "Knowledge of" this information no matter what.

especially, in regards to things like this and family medical history

I'm contemplating the hilarity that might ensue if anonymous sperm donors had their anonymity lifted.

Consider the advantages - it can count to 12 on it's fingers.

If they're gonna keep jumping in and out of court about it then the chances of the kid eventually finding out get greater. If they really want to keep it under wraps for the sake of the kid then they should actually stay away from potentially making anymore 'landmark cases' that could draw more attention to them.

When it really comes down to it, humanity, like any species, is a product of incest and adaptation. This sounds shocking, but it isn't as genetically appauling as our culture makes it out to be. I hope they can retain their privacy.

If it's good enough for FDR, it's good enough for everybody! I shall even dare to say that not marrying a relative downright Un-American.
