Hello! I like fembots. I set about to collect them all! Except I didn't want more than one version of any given character. Or any given mold. Or any expensive rarities. Or repaints of dudes. So I figured I'd customize some to fill in the gaps created by my own arbitrary rules and general cheapness. I made a Universe Blackarachnia into Antagony, or as I like to call her, Antarachnia. Or Anty Panties. Of all the beast era Blackarachnias, this struck me as the most workable and most feminine. Plus it already had only 6 legs. Not sure why. It actually turned out to be a lot more work than I expected. I had to build the ant head from scratch after failing to find any toy plastic ants to chop up, and she transforms backwards from the original. I also had to make a totally new attachment for the spider butt because it used to attached via the spider head, which is now in tiny bits. The ant head folds away on her back, because hey, what's a little more kibble on a beast era toy? I also gave her a haircut, because she had to be able to turn her head all the way around to properly hide it under the spider head. Also filled in the black widow shaped hole on the back of her head, gave her antenae in robot mode and filled in the silly holes in her arms. And yes, I painted segmented eye boobies on as well. Here she is with TFA Blackarachnia, her sister in eye-boobie-dom. I know the face should be light purple, but the paint apps on the original toy are so good I didn't want to muck them up. The ant heads are on all-new ball joints, so they can be positioned to taste. In the right spot, they and the ant-butt kinda evoke the propeller-butt on the original toy, which I'd love to say was deliberate. Here she is getting some payback on Megatron for whatever's happening here. Wrong Megatron, I know, but it's the only one I have. So there you are. Pretty basic paint-job but a lot of sculpting and engineering. Well, a lot for me. Hope you guys like her. On to my next obscure fembot!
That's sick! That looks so incredibly awesome all throughout, it looks like an official toy, major kudos, dude!
Wow, wow and, ummm...WOW. That is fantastic! The BM Blackarachnia was definitely the best of the lot, and this mod even beats that! The way the face is painted almost gives it a cold emotion, and the minimalistic glossy black on the body works here. Eye-boobies for the win.
SUCH a good re-imagining of the character! I love Antagony, but priceiness aside (I picked one up at the 'con in 98, and then sold her a few years back), the Inferno mold is really NOT a very convincing base for a femme bot, so its great to see her looking properly feminine! D/L
Very awesome work. Fyi, there was originally 8 legs on this toy but two of them were super shot and attached close to the mandibles which you have gotten rid of so :tmyk Again, this is superb
Wow indeed. It looks fantastic! I especially love the fact that you seem to have used glossy paint for the body which gives the impression that Antagony's wearing a black latex suit. It's an excellent idea that I may borrow someday. Keep up the great work, man!
Wow, that is incredible - I really like the work that you've been doing on creating your own, distinct versions of the various fembots and this one is no exception - the amount of work you did transforming the alt mode into an ant is incredible.
OMG ITS PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OVER 9000!!! Kudos points to you! I look forward to your future work
Wow! I never thought BM BlackArachnia mold coiuld be so cool! You really did a great job adjusting her to the ant mode. Killer custom!
Thanks to everybody so far for the feedback Thanks, but I can't take any credit for the face as I left it unpainted. Thanks! Yeh, I toyed with just buying an inferno and painting him black, but I prefer my fembots looking at least a little bit feminine. True, but those two up the front are so short they didn't touch the ground, which I think technically disqualifies them from being legs Either way, it made life easier not having to worry about how to rework the legs or if she could still stand up with less of them. Nobody's commented on the ant head yet, which means either it origin is not as obvious as I'd feared, or you're all just being very polite and just not mentioning it. The ant head halves are made from plastic spoons. The ant teeth are pieces off a serrated plastic knife, and the antennae are tines from plastic forks. All from Wendy's! I was afraid everybody would be like "it looks like she's got spoons on her back" but I guess I got away with that eh?
As cool as this custom looks here, it looks twice as awesome in person. I love all of the extra things you've done to this one, both on the kitbashing and painting levels. This is nice work, buddy
