I get cursing relatively often. If it's bad enough I'll report em' instantly. It's bad when it's abusive...
For example, I cuss outloud when I die or I'm frustrated and it's not intended to offend anyone.
The other example is when people just curse at you up and down for some feeling of superiority or when they're pissed.

So many people talk shit in that game it's ridiculous. I do like it when they're doing it, and you're beating em' badly. lol

 

I don't mind if someone yells an expletive because I blindsided him with a shotgun, I just don't like it when people are abusive towards others. Like tonight when I killed the WHOLE other team on CTF only to have them respawn behind me a few seconds later. One of them finally kills me and is like.. "Yeah b****!! how do you like that m*****f*****?!! f*** you!!" Every game I played tonight but one went just like that. Sometimes they'd start in the pregame lobby and it almost always continued into the post-game. The most ridiculous part was after a match I was like.. 'Good game, blue" ..and I hear.. "F*** Glassjaw. I'll f***ing rip his tongue out.. the b****." What the hell was that? I guess he was a bit sore about that triple kill I got with my plasma grenades.   I always try and be a good sport about things, and I'll even congratulate people if they pull of something spectacular. However, I guess there's just alot of poor sports out there..

 

I won't be playing for on x-box live for awhile, had to reformat my computer so my x-box live setup has to be redone and it is being a bitch about wanting to work   . After that I also have to see if my parents will renew my subscription after my free 2 months are over.

 

Guys, report them, don't stoop to their level, Bungie and Microsoft are listening to the feedback you leave and accounts are being suspended and banned.

so how many of you all have experienced cheating? I wonder how many people even realize it when it happens! They should have an FAQ for the symptons!

For example, I've been a victim to the modem standby exploit   I think a good way to tell if it's happened to you is that the game goes through the reconnection and game setup steps, but no one drops! I don't know of any other reason it should do that unless someone drops.... so if no one drops... yeah :rolleyes

There's the wall grabs too.... and it's pretty obvious. I believe Bungie considers this minute... and doesn't care about it. It's not the cheating that concerms them at all.

There was this one Rumble game I did where the whole game was lagging because of one guy. He was up to 17 and nobody had double digits. For some reason the game straightened, no more lag.... and I basically almost beat the guy! he had 25, I had 23. Seriously, I find that to be VERY odd... he claimed he was JUST lagging, but I don't know... it seemed really coincidental that he couldn't pull 8 kills faster than my 15 or so...

Another cheat that I've heard about that involves the elite and the warthog eventually results in a flag warp... That's happened to me before too... and man that sucks.

 

That sounds like dummying, but now the glitch can be done w/o a Warthog. Bungie is trying to take steps against glitchers. They're trying to correct code in the game as well as ban known cheaters. Just continue to leave negative feedback and post information on the bungie.net message board. They have a whole thread dedicated to just that. Other than that, there's not alot you can do. You can try and inhibit standby by forcing yourself to be the host. If anyone needs me to explain that I can do it after work. Also, if you happen to see an enemy walking into a wall or constantly meleeing- kill him immediately! It's likely he's cheating.

I think worse than the verbal abuse is the annoying kids that are only on there to wreck other people's games. We had this kid on there yesterday, during a multi bomb assault game, that thought it would be funny to go get our bomb from the other side of the map, where you score, and bring it all the way back to our base. He stated that it shouldn't be held against him, because he's 14 and can't be expected to do any better. WTF?!? I think there are just too many parents using the XBox for a babysitter. Oh well. We didn't lose so I guess it's not that big of a deal. We'll just keep plugging away and raising those kill counts.

 

As Maximal said, it was sight to behold. I know I have had my fair share of run-ins with idiots or other players that are downright unreasonable. I just keep telling myself that it's their e-penis talking and there's not a damn thing I can do about it. Except keep leaving that feedback.

 

The feedback IS working, not had a cheater in a game in a good two weeks, though the quitters are starting to become the prominent asses in the game...

 

You're right about that. Nothing's more annoying than starting a 4 on 4 Team Skirmish/Slayer game only to have a guy quit as soon as you get past the game setup.

 

What bothers me more is when you start losing the jacksasses quit. Their rank suffers more as a result.

....the surprising thing is 22 of those kills were only mine from Red Team, and i didnt even use the Rockets once, it was all sniping and Dual Wilding with an overshield in the middle of my partner screaming "HELP ME! HELP ME! Over.."

Man...but theres nothing more funnier than playing with little kids..the other day me and Elvin played a game called "paintball".Listen to this...Carbine only, Battle Creek, 3 lives, 15 kills to win round, 5 rounds, and No shields, and No Motion Sesnors....we took out the entire team, cuz these lil kids couldnt aim even if there lives depended on it, later they chose Team Slayer cuz they got mad, on Foundation it was 8 (lil kids Blue Team) VS 2 (Me and Elvin..Red Team)

WOW!! We had already 32 kills while they had 0 still.Lil N00Bies!!hehe
