I actually like Skywarp way better than Starscream. The head sculpt is a lot beter. I might get him instead of Starscream.

Skywarp head is more likable, while Starscream might get some time for some to warm up for it, just like the car mode  

 

so one has a bug head and the other has monkey head. nice.

What's really messing up Starscream's face in that pic is how sloppy the paint is applied. The edges are sloppy, and it looks too thick, obscuring the details.

 

They always had black, Mitsuoka probably wanted to use purple (or Takara did) and felt Skywarp was an appropriate choice for such. It seems purple is the Orochi's signature color.

Despite my unwillingness to spend more $$$ on TFs I find myself really wanting these Alternity Seekers. I didn't complete my Seekers collection for Titanium and Animated line (and MP is still on hold pending release of Hasbro MP TC) so I am pretty interested in the Alternity line. If the price is reasonable ($30-$40) I may buy them.

 

when I first saw them, I didn´t like skywarp´s face and colo scheme, but now with these better pictures, I must say: WOW 
It´s a completely kickass mould and while it´s not our traditional, beloved black seeker, It looks awesome!!!! 
however the car is weird, there´s no hiding that, but weird doesn´t always mean ugly, just different, I gotta get Skywarp

yeah I gotta agree its a far nicer face... man thats now 4 Alternity toys I need to pick up (BB CJ SW and SS)

 

I'll give you the head vents, though they are shaped funny and the brow shield is weird. The shoulder intakes are so differently shaped I don't think they count, the null rays are too short and mounted on the forearms rather than at the shoulder. The differences are enough that he simply doesn't evoke the seeker aesthetic to me.

 

Received both Starscream and Skywarp today and I love 'em both. They look stunning in both modes.

Each new Alternity design seems to top the previous one imho.

Starscream looks a lot better in person and I actually prefer him over Skywarp. Skywarp just looks dull in all that purple.

Transformation was really neat and different from any of the previous Alternity or Binaltech figures. I love how the designers are trying new things with the transformation.

Just like the Suzuki molds before them, don't knock 'em before you've tried 'em. Excellent figure(s), highly recommended.

While these Seekers exhibit the same amazing engineering, they also continue the Alternity tradition of being almost impossible to stand. In fact, these are the worst yet, it took me half an hour to find a stable posture. And they are very fiddly, the side wings keep popping out.

 

Ordered my Skywarp last night. Was going to get both, but I think I'll just settle for the one this time. He looks awesome, and it sounds like the mold is definitely different. Can't wait until I get mine.  

 

Skywarp may be one i would go out of my way to get!

 

Hopefully this guy ships from BBTS on tuesday. I'm jonesing to get him.
