The only one who should learn a lesson is Michael Bay...
Besides, how can a genius like Steven Spielberg (the man who could bring science fiction even to the heart of the romance-loving audience) admire bay's work?
How can the man who managed to shoot films about aliens, dinosaurs and overgrown fishes and fill them with soul, join Bay's philosophy? That is: "if my movie grossed a zillion $ that proves it's a great movie!"
This is the ultimate mistery to me...

Well to quote a quotation on Wikipedia from the man himself,

"Spielberg is an avid film buff and when not shooting a picture, he will indulge in "movie orgies," watching many over a single weekend.[66] He sees almost every major summer blockbuster in theaters if not preoccupied and enjoys most of them; "If I get pleasure from anything, I can't think of it as dumb or myself as shallow [...] I'll probably go late to that movie and go, 'What the dickens was everybody complaining about, that wasn't so bad!'"[67]"

There was some good stuff in ROTF although it it was rushed and was nowhere as good as the first. Anyway, back to Fox: don't care.

i always wonder why imbd credits tyrese as "USAF Master Sergeant" when he was a Chief Master Sergeant in the movie. eh. whatever. i'm picking about military rank... especially when it's my own branch.

anywho... wasn't really a fan of fox in either movie... but i didn't mind her being there either. she was at the least decent eye candy and that's really all i've regarded the tf movies as so far. i definitely didn't watch these for the acting or storyline.

And I totally agree with him! I think there's nothing better than an american summer blockbuster filled up with special effects and explosions to unwind... In those cases a well structured storyline and some good acting is normally a bonus. But when it all is so messed up, unconsistent and frantic like in ROTF the viewer gets somewhat irriteted (well, some of them, and I respect the opinion of those who liked the movie). I also see how my previous comment on Spielberg may sound naive: of course there's Spielberg the director/artist but there's also Spielberg the businessman, who's happy as long as a movie earns milloins USD. I only wish the two men could find a compromise...
