I'm taking my nephews to TRU this Saturday in Aurburn California. I wonder if I should look for Grimlock then. Or any other possible G1 re-issues?

Read the thread. You won't find him until after SDCC.

Heck, mine is still swimming in Blackout/Scorponok 2-packs from the '07 movie.

That's so crazy it just might work!

Sure, maybe everyone else, but in my case it will definitely be more than 'a few months'.

Toys R Us never had a booth at Comicon. Makes sense as they would not sell this at the Hasbro booth - since it's a TRU exclusive.

    I agree.

As per the email I recieved from the Head of UK operations

So it's a TRU exclusive in the UK end of story.

I still belive Argos sourced MP Skywarp and Legends Devs from Hasbro US or China directly. Most likely on the cheap as well hence the mass discounts on MP Skywarp.

It's a bit hit-and-miss in the UK. The Universe Ultras (Countdown etc) have enjoyed odd periods on 'clearance' at £19.99, but they've recently gone back up to £29.99 (about $45US, ouch!) - some of the movie multi-packs (Gathering at the Nemesis, Hoist/G1-style Mixmaster) get random small discounts, nothing significant though.

It did, however, take them about a year to reduce 20th Anniversary Prime, and even by then it wasn't much. Sadly I can see Grimlock being a shelfwarmer over here. :(

I have the takara version so I'm not stressing about this too much. If I find one at TRU I'll pick it up. If not, I won't be all that upset.

    Eligibility

Hey guys! Not sure if any of you have had this problem, but I have called my local TRU's and provided them with the UPC, and they are able to look up masterpiece grimlock, but it tells them that they are not even eligible to carry the item in their stores. Anyone else having this problem, or is it just too soon to be calling them?

It's too soon. A press release has said that until SDCC, no stores will be carrying these. After SDCC, they'll start showing up at TRU.
