I originally didn't have a problem with the Twins. In fact one of the things I kinda liked about them was that they pissed off some of the fandom. This was back when the main reason people hated them was just because they were ugly. To me, they were just a couple of crazy looking robot muppets. It wasn't until all the political issues surrounding the characters came up, and I was made to understand why they were not cool. Yeah...Since a lot of the hate and drama over ROTF was centered on the controversy of the Twin characters, it's not looking all that good for TF3. Unless they play a very small part in an opening battle scene. Then maybe the public wont freak out too much. That actually was my first thought, too. And in that regard, I hope we get a figure. Cause I recall that guys concept designs to be rather neat looking.
Sweet! More Skids and Mudflap Baby!!! Love those guys! They were so funny and I was worried they'd get cut. Oh wait. I have taste. And I just remembered Skids and Mudflap are the main reason I can't bring myself to watch TF2 on Blu Ray. I do like the Watchmen derivative Transformers Go Home graffiti. If you don't have original ideas, steal from the best.
Maybe they'll just have one scene where they go to the senate and approve Imperial Rule for the Galaxy. That would be cool. If they did that.
Please let it be anti-Autobot Decepticons. We've done enough "the public turns on the heroes" story line from so many movies already.
I was reading on a different website that someone suggested that the Twins should reveal that they were acting as gangster wannabes as a way to cope with the stress of being in a war and that they should drop the act and behave properly. And I honestly think that would be a brilliant way to make them better written characters. They could say to them selves what were they thinking,and say that it was stupid and embarrassing to act like that as a means to cope with the stress of the war and then conduct themselves better and properly,but sadly,that would be expecting for a bit too much from Transformers 3.
Doubtful, it is pretty core to the older elements of the franchise, albeit possibly due to Marvels preoccupation with self-loathing, (or at least protecting for the ungrateful, to show how noble the heroes are). I'm actually surprised it hasn't been explored much in the modern iterations of TF. But I guess its because most recent series have been set in the future, people are either more enlightened or familiar with robots (or just kids).
Great, the twins are back. Yeah, if you are brain-dead or something similar. Two ******s with ghetto slangs and golden teeth beating a decepticon ("coincidently" another European car after Sideways, because all americans know we Europeans are smug, arrogant and of course thus must be evil) much smaller then they are. Too bad that from the info we have heard so far, the amazing concept arts of Junkions and alien planets are most likely axed, and instead we will be treated to a cliched "Autobots Go Home" campaign by the humans. This scenario has been done to death in a lot of other superhero movies already... Actually, Simon Furman did what I thought was impossible and in the UK Movie comics, made the Twins into actually interesting and not offensive characters. They are still not the brightest bots around, but instead of illiterate hicks they are extreme-sport addicts who want to pull of impossible tricks, even during battle. They also have horribly bad karma, because they get into situations where the Bots think they are Con agents, get chased and beaten by an ancient rusty old seeker (Ransack) and even work as double-agents for Soundwave just to go along with the plan. It almost made me like them. Almost.
There was a sweet piece of fan art done by someone that had Skids and Mudflap combining to form Shockwave. As much of an insult as that would be to Shockwave, it'd be the only way I would be able to stand them in another movie. No one would see it coming either! Perfect spy.
That's not what happens at all. According to same rumor, that smart car steals Skids's parking spot, so Skids transforms and throws the car away.
Ah more automotive propaganda, remember kids smart cars are for pussies, you need a big car with a big engine to get that girl! Autobots go home sounds good to me, it's been done yeah but it usually works well. Hope we get to see the Italia in action soon.
The anti-Autobot graffiti is very interesting. Looks like the general public knows of their existence in this one which would make sense considering the Decepticons outed themselves in ROTF. Maybe we'll see some anit-TF demonstrations in TF3, as well.
