Super walmart on gunn (Tampa) has 3-4 legends Devs. Not sure if anyone here is nearby, but figured I'd save you my mistake by buying it for an inflated price online, only to finally see it in store, ugh.
Same here. I couldn't make it until Sunday. They still had 4 Cybertron Mode Ratchets though. I'm in South Florida for the week visiting family and there's a good chance I'll get to go to the Pembroke Pines TRU, so I'll post my findings then.
Hate to say this but I got the last two Arcees they had when I was down there this weekend for tholmes and my daughters elita one custom. They might have more now though.
Haha! No worries, at least they went to good homes. Like I said before, I'm just happy to know that TRU is stocking them now. If I don't score one this week in South FL, I'll check in another week or so.
Are there any Orlando TRUs with Arcee hanging around? I'll be driving in on Saturday for a wedding, and I can probably convince my girlfriend to take a detour and help me find one.
There was at least one until Saturday or Sunday, but fellow board members got those. I checked the Pembroke Pines TRU in South Fl today but no luck. Somebody hid an Animated Oilslick for some reason. I would have asked an associate to check their backstock for me, but I was in a hurry.
As of last night, St. Petersburg, Tyrone Wal Mart has every shelf-warming ROTF deluxe available. That's seriously all I've sighted everywhere I go--shelf-warming movie stuff--EVERYWHERE.
Picked up a Sharkticon from Pop City Comics today. That will satisfy my Botcon Sky Byte/Gnaw kick. So far I can't really see any of the figures that jump out to me. So far I feel good about just paying $18 for general admission next month.
Oh well. I'll just follow the same strategy for Arcee as how I got my Ratchet: wait for TRU to put them instock online. (Paying shipping sure beats the cost of gasoline to the store)
I agree with you on that one. None of the exclusives are screaming at me that bad to pay $300 or something to that effect. I am sure we will all be bumping into each other up there and not even knowing it.
The ticket price includes price of admission ($150) + plus dinner + six CC toys (5 in the boxset + freebie). That seems pretty justifiable to me if you have the cash.
The Botcon toys hold zero appeal for me and I'm really not interested in becoming a reseller. I continue to be disappointed everytime they reveal more of the exclusive figures. The only things that could possibly get me excited about the set would be a black Sideswipe, blue Grimlock, or a giant purple/green tank Megatron I'm still planning on hitting Botcon since I've been wanting to go for years now. It's a real shame that this year's exclusives are so not-me but I'm looking forward to general admission prices and not standing in lines
It is but not for this year's set. For me the 2005-2008 sets were worth the money. 2009 was ok, but nothing to go crazy over. It's getting to the point for me that unless they're coming out with a nice club freebie or exclusive, I'll just let my subscription run out. This year's exclusives (Not the freebie) and the fact that Botcon is here were the only reasons I re-up'd my subscription. The whole registration thing is crazy. This is their 6th year running this (Fun Pub.) and they're just now switching to online registration and this close to the event and it's still not working on top of that? It's cool to see that fans have already sold out the hotels (Loyalty but me thinks a lot of them are from overseas...think about the time of the year this is happening AND it's the weekend before the 4th of July.), so they know they're going to sell their packages out fast. Then we look at the concerns of getting the exclusives and sets in a reasonable time frame. I understand the shipping issues overseas, but how many times have they informed us that their items will be pushed out a few more weeks when we have other online dealers (i.e. BBTS, TF Source, and Digital Toys to name a few) that can get stuff fairly quick (Except for those Fansproject Combaticons...lol). Fun Publications has the biggest connection over the aforementioned online dealers...Hasbro and Takara/Tomy. I would have thought they would have built some good relationships to get strings pulled to make things happen quicker, especially when you see what products bring in the most money for the US counterpart (Hasbro). That's just my two cents.
While visiting friends in Florida (I'm from NYC), Florida City Wal-Mart today, 5/12 had: Decepticon Bludgeon x 2 (picked one up), deluxe Ratchet, Mudflap, Brawn, and exclusive 2-packs.
