This is a fail for me.

Bludgeon has such a distinctive design and style that it is a difficult mold to repaint... maybe with some innovative bits of remolding... but unfortunately Hasbro didn't go that way.

Instead we just get a straight repaint into the only OTHER Decepticon character with a strong samurai motif... which is kind of lame when you think of it. Banzaitron and Bludgeon are now identical palette-swap brothers. That's disappointing to me...

Thats Super Bad ass, Much MUCH better than the OG. The Red head suits it way more, reninds me of "Red Skull" Digging this voyager. The way the color hits the Figure, its reminds me of Sabrina's Custom Bludgeon. Word To Sabrina!!!!

Looks good to me. However, without a sale or a coupon, I don't think I'll get him.

One of this mold is enough for me.

I hope this gets a European release though.... unlike Bludgeon.

Yeah, about the only thing that saves it for me is the very real possibility that it was molded to represent both figures. Still, the fact that the head is the same is a big turnoff. Bludgeon is a fricking human skull in a samurai helmet...no other TF should have that head. :lol

That mold sooo doesn't work for Banzaitron. Especially the head. As much as I don't like the Energon Mirage mold, even that one was a better choice for a repaint. Bludgeon's ROTF mold is a one-character mold, like Megatron or Jetfire - it only works for the character it was designed for.

Because Skyquake should a huge, towering juggernaught that transforms into an armed to-the-teeth bomber plane, not a small deluxe jet. Besides that, E Starscream doesn't even transform like him. I still say that Cybertron Wing Saber would have been a better choice for Skyquake, just as Cybertron Defense Red Alert would make a good Stalker.

Well then it works. Cause this mold's head was anything but a human skull.

You forget one thing... ROTF Bludgeon is based on Don Figueroa's first Bludgeon design for IDW comics, which wasn't going to be a toy at all at that point. Only the arms and the head got changed a bit for the final toy when Hasbro improved on the design. IMHO, the skull-like chestplate was a nod to Skeletor whom Bludgeon greatly resembles. But I guess someone who has contact with him could ask Don whether he thought of Banzai-Tron when designing this guy.

I'm still continuing to look for a better template for a Banzai-Tron repaint. The big problem with that guy is that unlike other Action Masters, there is absolutely no indication on him showing what he had transformed into before the Nucleon change.

Is almost rather banzai tron be a wreckage repaint. This mold seems way too blocky for him. I always kinda pictured him as a sleek ninja/mobster/jet or boat. I def prefer the botcon one. Pass. I hope the blurr repaint of drift is more interesting. The black skull faced tank is cool, I just don't think this is a good incarnation of banzai tron

Awful. They should have gone with a Mindwipe repaint instead.

As others have stated, a head remold would have done wonders for this. But even with it, I just don't like it as Banzai. Even if they did incorporate elements of Banzai from the creation of the mold, there are too many things that scream Bludgeon for me to really like this repaint. Ah well, more money to waste on WTC, Generations, exclusives, imports, third party.....etc, etc..

Idk, after compairing alil more I kinda like it. I'll have to wait to see more. Mindwipe with a new head woulda been tight for banzai tron tho. I just feel like the alt mode & daggers fit better.
