Wow, that sucks about Nimoy. On a personal level though, I'm glad he had the opportunity to go out with a bang. The best of luck to him, he will be missed.

Well, I guess this means Leonard Nimoy won't be reprising his role as the voice of Galvatron in any future Transformers shows and/or films anytime soon.

    Ooh, Sid Haig!

Nimoy had a great run. Star Trek, Transformers, Fringe, its all impressive for any actor, and hes going out with quite a bang! Best of luck to one of the biggest actors in the business.

    Mr. Nimoy will be missed.

Hopefully, someone from this forum will attend the event, and if I may ask a favor, would you mind asking him if he'll be lending his voice to the War For Cybertron character Zeta Prime, please?

    Thanks in advance,

    Transformed

I'm a bit sad that Nimoy's retiring. But to be fair, I can't blame him. You'll be missed, Spock. :)

He looks silly on the front page which is ironic given his most known role.

I thought I'd heard Leonard Nimoy (who I have very much enjoyed in other roles) didn't like to talk about Tranformers the Movie, like he was ashamed of being in it or something. Did he get over that?

the convention was awesome!!! most fun i had in a long time :D

    - I got to meet Leonard Nemoy and got him to sign my Transformers DVD
(it cost me $60 for his signature...but it was worth it)
he even signed it exactly below the picture of Galvatron.

    - met with both Garry Chalk and Scott McNeil and got them to sign a "Reboot" artbook
(they are the voices of Hack and Slash :D )
also kept giving Scott Pocky :lol

    - met Tony Todd on sunday and got him to sign my ROTF Blu-Ray
(i even asked him if its true that he was gonna be in TF3...and he said "he is" but "gave me a hint that he might be playing a human character")

-picked myself up a Masterpeice Starscream "US Release" ($120)
    - Movie Lockdown and Deluxe Ratchet (for $15 each)
and Beast Machines "Mega class Cheetor" (for only $10)

    so...yeah...i had alot of fun

pretty sure that was just a rumor, the director or someone confirmed that it was Orson Welles who did Unicron completely (no one extra)

    Love this guy's voice.

"I'm not a soldier, Major. The day we took hostages, we became mercenaries. And mercenaries get paid. I want my f#%ing money!"

I'm fairly sure this isn't the first time Nimoy has announced his retirement.

IIRC, Nimoy said that *HE*(Nimoy) did Galvatron only. Can't remember if anyone actually spefically said that nobody did Unicron but Welles.

Tony Todd was great as old Jake Sisko in Deep Space Nine.

Ya im pretty sure Orson only did Unicron.

I remember seeing a vid on youtube with a bunch of guys from the transformers movies and that and one of the art directors said orson shot his lines ether a couple days or a week before he passed away so Transformers: The Movie was his last true Movie.

Kinda wish Todd was doing another TF voice maybe he will do both .
