I don't remember seeing one last night. I'm guessing it's more a one-per-story, rather than per episode.

After having watched the first two episodes of the new Doctor, I have to say he is quickly becoming my favorite when compared to the 10th and 9th. His range in emotions is good, that and he actually gives off the feeling of being a(n) alien. Also his performance seems to get stronger with each episode. The reactions to the food in the first episode had me laughing quite a bit.

Most likely this, also if there was going to be one they probably would have made it as blatant as all the others have been.

Right, been having a chinwag, well fingerwag, over on Gallifrey Base, so I thought I'd share some of the things people have noticed there.

Moffat said that the Crack was not the only thing to watch out for in the series.

The GBers think they've found another.

During Victory, when Amy comforts Bracewell, a geigercounter on Bracewell's desk starts ticking furiously. This might not mean anything, but they actually seem to have layered on the ticking sound in post production. Usually, they tend to ignore things like that, as they're distracting. So they must have put it in for a reason.

Not convinced? How about this, in Time of Angels, the Doctor is at a table in the camp sonicing objects. Amy is asking about why he's letting them call him sir. After calling him "Mr Grumpy Face" she sits on the table, at which point lights and alarms start going off on the equipment on the table, and the Doctor comments "Now that's interesting." He then asks her why she isn't staying in the tardis.

Add to that in episode one, when he says he's only bringing her along because he's lonely, the tardis scanner flickers noticeably. Plus she doesn't know about Daleks, and also her boyfriend's ID badge for the hospital was issued in 1990.

Just what is going on with Pond? Any theories?

Amy could herself be an anomoly in time caused by the crack. Say a person who isnt supposed to exist. No parents only an aunt. Who we've never seen. The cracks happen wherever she is, Is she the cause?

Moffat said that was a mistake and had nothing to do with anything

Not only does it flicker, check the shape of the scanner line against the crack (from The Beast Below as it's the best highlighted one I could grab)

Definitely something strange going on..... I volunteer to examine her.

    Typical. ;)

Unless he's lying, but if he's not then it's still open to a range of poor fan theories about how Rory is the Rani, or whatever. :D

RTD was quite the liar at times about things, you know. And also quite tricky with words... I'm wondering if this is wordplay rather than outright lying, myself.

Damn. Both Doctor Who and Stargate ended with cliffhangers. Not cool.

It was a good episode, the first in which the overall pros outweighted the cons, without Daleks unbalancing the equation. I was wondering why the statues all had only one head after the Doctor said the Architect had 2, then when the self-marriage aspect came up, I realized that was either one hell of a goof or they were all angels.

I really liked the "image of the angel becomes and angel", that entire sequence was very well done. I liked the way The Doctor visits museums to "keep score", and several other plot elements. I'm also clearly in the minority, but I like River Song, though something about the regeneration would've been nice. Amy becoming "infected" was a good plot twist. However, far and away, the part that actually made me laugh out loud was the sequence about flying the TARDIS. The blue stabilizers, the lack of landing "VWORP!", the whole sequence.

While the Angel using the dead soldiers voice was a nice touch, it's also the same plot device used by the Vashta Narada and it's also giving voice to something which should be unrelentingly horrifying, and not having any means to communicate always adds to that element.

I was watching some first Doctor serials earlier this week, while some like The Dead Planet's I felt was one or two episodes too long, most of the current series episodes feel way too short, if every episode was at least a two parter with an occasional three parter, I wonder how good the season would be then?

Lastly, this was very definately the Aliens to "Blink"'s Alien.

I think this would be a perfect format as most of the one off episodes are worthless due to their overly rushed nature.

It makes me sad that a small animated screen ad can cause such an outrage in the UK that the BBC apologizes for it, but here in the US we have to put up with those things on damn near every show on television anymore.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that the BBC isn't a commercial channel. No adverts. We pay for it in our taxes. So naturally we expect better from them, because we pay their wages.

    Finally saw the episode.
A good first part and hopefully it'll continue into the second.
Was interesting to see River again and the hints to her relationship with the Doctor.

I'm wondering if the Angels from Blink perhaps fell through a crack from the planet. And it'll be interesting to see the crack actually be noticed and commented on.

Glad someone else has caught that.

The BBC is public funded, so they can be held accountable to thing by Licence Payers.

Thankfully I didn't see the ad.

I would be over the moon. Thats the main thing I miss, being excited to tune in for the next part of the story. I can see they're trying to go for a 13 episode story ark, try to keep everything flowing in continuity, but damnit I miss the 4-5 episode stories.

EDIT: Regarding all the stuff with Amy, I have a feeling that the Doctor has either already worked it out, and has his suspicions.
Its the way he looks at her when this stuff happens, like hes just starting to notice and slowly figure out what the deal is with her. Makes me almost wonder if its something bad, thats why he hasnt said anything.

Main thing I want to know is why she didnt know of the Daleks. Or why the didnt recognize the man she obsessed over for most of her life, even when he was wearing the exact same clothing too.
