Movie Devastator clearanced to $30. I debated it for quite a while in the store but ultimately decided I would save the $30. Part of me hates that the thing was $70 off and that I don't have him. But then also I just don't know if he is worth even that?
Honestly, for 30 I may have picked it up as a birthday/xmas present for my nephews. They don't care, its big and something they can have tons of fun with.
I would have passed. Even though the Legends class figure is a lot smaller, it is superior to the Supreme class one.
pass. not even for the legends price point. pocket the cabbage, save it for something just around the corner. and sleep easy at night about passing it up.
I received Devs as a gift, but I'd say about $40 or so is a reasonable price, so yes, I'd have bought it at $30 if I didn't already have it.
I think that would be the best way to go if you really want a movie Devastator. A cooler toy because they have robot modes and you don't have to clear off a massive amount of display space for it. Besides isn't new stuff coming out in a few months so why waste cash on something you don't want very much when you could just save that cash for some Transformers stuff you do want later?
I got my supreme Devy for $40 and I don't regret it at all. I'll agree that the legends class is a better toy, but Supreme Devy is certainly worth $30 of fun.
If you like ROTF toys, dude is definitely worth $30. He is a pretty fun toy, I never get tired of sticking things in his mouth.
30 dollars for Supreme Devastator isn't so bad. I actually bought him full price (sorry, caved in!), and even though he doesn't split into seperate robots, and he's not entirely screen accurate, I love the heck out of him - way more than I thought I would.
My wife bought him for me at full price. Is he perfect? Absolutely not! Is he fun to mess with? Yes! I can give it to my 2.5 year old and not have to worry about him breaking it. The thing is a monster!!
I also passed on it for $30. I realized, while in the clearance isle looking at it, that the biggest reason I wanted it was because of the savings off of full retail. Plus, I really dont have room for him. I'm very satasfied w/ the legends version. I can envision a nice display area, and can see the fun value of such a large figure, but those were'nt reasons enough to pull the trigger on him for me.
Well this turned into more than I thought. I don't know still. After having slept on it I felt really fine about not getting it. I have been enjoying DC Universe so much lately I would rather put 30 towards filling in some gaps there. But still part of me feels like I need to finish up the screen characters from ROTF. I am not going to worry about it. If he is still there next time I am in that walmart maybe I will get him maybe I won't!
