Can I please hear your reason as to why you don't like Bosch? Is it because he gets a lot of lead voicing roles?

Well, so much for that old tidbit that said most of the G1 actors would be reprising their roles. Ah well, I suppose that was too much to hope for. It's not like Dan Gilvezan isn't doing voices still. Pretty obvious at this point they just recast everyone, and got Peter Cullen only because of his new movie credentials. Which is good for us long time fans, but for a really good G1eque War Within sort of experience? Eh, the disconnect is going to be a little more than I care for; though the game still looks sweet and I'll be getting it.

Johnny Young Bosch. Cool guy. Loved him on Power Rangers. I owe him and his band as much alcohol as they can drink for what they and he did back at Anime Expo 2007. He does, however, have the same problem Crispin Freeman has (expect this name along with Steve Blum on the VA roster). He's a good actor. He's a decent voice. He's NOT a good voice actor...you always know it's him.

They probably just farmed this out to Bang Zoom! and called it good.

You recognized Freeman as Alan Gabriel (from Big O) and Itachi (from Naruto)? That's pretty good.

But I'm going to disagree with the idea that Bosch and Freeman aren't good voice actors. They do voices and they act well. Why does it matter if you recognize their voices? Heck, I can recognize Peter Cullen every time I hear him. It's very obvious, in fact. Does that make him a bad voice actor?

I honestly had never heard of the guy. Mainly because his involvement in Power Rangers was left largely unmentioned when confirmation of this casting decision first came out, but now I remember him. As far as how I think he'll do, I think he'll do just fine, I actually want my Bumblebee to have a much greater degree of maturity than the previous incarnations of the character.

Wut teh fuuk? No Kaneda reference yet? Something like
    "I hope yells TETSUO!"
    or
"You got Akira in my Transformers!"
    would work...but anyways, cool news!

hold the phone, you dont think Stephen Blum is a good VA? this blows my mind, he may not be perfect, but his prominent roles are always different. When he did Spike Spiegel on Cowboy Bebop he had an awesome cool tone to his voice that soothing in an im going to kick your ass kind of way. Then later on when he did Kazuma on S-Cry-Ed he changed it up and was all young and youthful and high pitched and got serious for the serious scenes.

hes a great actor with a great many ranges his voice can reach, i should comparing Johny Young Boche to him would be a compliment (not to say i dont hink his work is top-notch, it is). Bosch is a great VA and i think he'll bring some much needed character to Bummblbee again

I don't think he was saying that. He was just saying that if JYB is in, then there's a decent chance that Crispin Freeman and Steve Blum are in the casting pool as well.

Speaking as someone who hated MMPR. His voice and his face irk me. Either will put me off something.

You're right! I should've given my reason as to why I don't like him. My reason for my dislike is becuase I was never a fan of any of the work he did, especially in Power Rangers. I'm also just not a fan of the sound of his voice. I'm not trying to offend any fans out there who like this guy, but it's my honest opinion.
