J-fire was taller than Optimus (whom himself hits 30-32 feet)
    I'd say around 40-50 feet

So, you're saying he didn't have an issue withthe dogs humping, Tuttoro's semi-nude butt, the annoyance of the Twins, and the whole mother on drugs "joke".

If he didn't, he shares the same sick sense of humor Bay has.

Knowing some Transformers lore at least gives Transfans a heads up on "Robot heaven" etc...
But the poor general audience must be very perplexed ala Mark kamode.

I know. What really bothered me about that scene is it could have easily been made a little clearer if just handled a little bit differently.

For one, they shouldn't have set it in a clouded scene, because when most people see such a setting, the first thing they think of is "Heaven". I think if the setting had more of a space themed backdrop, you wouldn't have had anyone assuming the whole "Robot Heaven" thing. Maybe have a few cybertronain sigs appearing and disappearing in the air around the scene, and probably a lot more people would have read it as a vision conected to the ones he's been having through the whole film.

He didn't so much vanish as they just kind of left him behind to chill out on that hill side. Only to catch up with them again for the end battle. Why? No idea.
But it was one of those things that could have easily been explained by just having JF say something like "Go ahead without me, I need to rest for a bit, opening that space bridge has exhausted my primary power cells."

I haven't watched that scene in a while, but IIRC, he said something along the lines of "Get away from me, I'm a big black structure in the sandy desert and I stick out like a sore thumb. If they find me, they find you. So scram, whippersnappers". Ryan's accent in the movie was so thick that sometimes you couldn't entirely understand what he was saying.

I don't recall him saying anything along those lines, but then I haven't wacthed the scene in awhile either.

I'm not talking about why he's in one scene and not another, I'm talking about how he disappears in between SHOTS. There's a far away shot, you can see the empty vastness of the desert, and he's not there. The 50 foot robot disappeared without explanation.

I'll have to watch the film again, but it sounds to me like you may be exaggerating. Then again, I wouldn't put it past Bay to make that kind of mistake either.

[EDIT] Finally had a chance to sit down and watch the film again, yeah there wasn't any part in that scene in where Jetfire disappears for no reason. There are parts of the scene where the camera was directed on the actors, but that's about it.

He actually says "Now get moving before the Decepticons find me, and find you." So it was kind of along those lines, just shorter.

I'm saying it was a great movie with a couple flaws (the dog humping, the pot brownies, and the robo balls) that aren't nearly enough to ruin the film. In my opinion.

I agree it wasn't a great movie, but it was a good movie, and i enjoyed it. It's a year later, and I honestly don't see what all the "hate" is about, but if what he says is true and that the third one will be better than I'm all for it
