I'm irritated everytime KO toys puts up new product. They just put the new toys next to KO toys that no one has to generate interest in the KO toys the sell on their site.

At the same time, I appreciate at least seeing the toys and getting different views.

These are all buys for me. Easy. And Split Lip has the right idea :thumb

I'll save my judgment until these guys are released, since the posing is kinda bad.

i cannot for the life of me decide if these things are cool or not. i like the concept but the molds just seem to fail right now. maybe the bigger they get, the better they get...? until they get to ultra size that is, cuz hasbro can't seem to get the biggest classes right to save their lives. except for unicron. who may actually suck, but i don't know, cuz I haven't taken him out of his box yet...

These toys look pretty good. Some uproar is occuring over the lack of robot modes, however. My answer: these are not supposed to be like gestalts. These are more like Energon Optimus's toy, a centre individual with power-ups for a "Super Mode". However, these are more versatile, since they hook up to any other Scout sized figure. Plus, these are not established characters that were "downgraded" as toys, like the vehicles in Supreme Devs, they are entirely new. The drones will probably never have names beyond their group names.

^This! Eh, i'll just wait till Hasbro/Takara releases their next line of toys range that actually has a series/cartoon going for it: "Transformers: Prime?" :D

Well, they say a picture is worth a thousand words... these just make me speechless.... in a bad way...:D  Oh well, more cannon-fodder toys to keep those kids entertained, I suppose! :D  :lol

wow... smoulder's combiner mode seems really awkward thanks to the whole automorph limb thing... but it looks like there's not really any other way to set 'im up. >.o I suppose I can learn to live with his permanent щ(゚Д゚щ) ... but if, as a some have commented, he gets repainted into a hotspot-alike and gets his own drones. . . that might change a lot; drones made specifically for a mold will make it's combination mode seem more reasonable, I would imagine.

Why no pics of Bombshock's individual robot mode?

Agreed. What's more, being KOs, they're useless as comparison figures since there's no way to know if they're the same size as the originals.

I think I'll pass on Smolder, but I'm really interested in Bombshock. He will go quite nicely on my work desk ^__^

Lots of folks are getting all bent out of shape because the drones don't transform into smaller bots as a "true" combiner should. We think of combiners like Bruticus and Superion and it's a team of 'bots that form up into a bigger bot. These guys aren't that. These guys are scouts with a 'power up' mode. So instead of having some trailer that forms armor around them or something, they have legends sized drones that attach to them. Similar concept.

So if the haters would think of things that way, in that these guys are not combiners at all rather 'power up' scouts, then I think they become a lot more interesting than your standard scouts. (But their not really combiners, despite what their product line may call them)

totally... i think the name is what's throwing them off... if they were just called Power Core figures people would be more accepting, but since they're Power Core Combiners, people are freaking out...

I love 'em. I loved Targetmasters back in the day, and I love things that combine, so this is all win at a reasonable price.

If they don't get fiction of their own, I may put them on my AEC shelves. They'll fit in well there

    Agreed. Good points here.

I think maybe the power-up modes help contribute to the negative sentiment, because we're used to seeing such configurations on traditional combiner teams.

If maybe they implemented a different combination method, like split a drone vehicle to form both arms or something, then maybe that would help dull the criticism.

Were I still a little kid, I'd probably be all over these, they do seem fun and full of gimmicky goodness.

As an adult, big time pass. Even the best fiction couldn't sell me on them.
