The Ferrari should not be Hot Rod, it should be red alert or some other character. Hot Rod should be a ol school 60's muscle car... not a Exotic

Doubt the actual car will have any bearing on a character, new or existing. Probably have as much screen time as the Audi R8 in ROTF.

 

His point still stands. The characters don't always share the same colors or personalities as their G1 counterparts.

Probably only for small scale Hot Wheels replica type toys. They had the license to the Stingray that Sideswipe turned into, which is why the RPM Sideswipe toys doesn't look anything like the Stingray.

Hasbro should be fine with doing transforming toys. And if not, they can always go the Sideswipe route by "faking" the car for the toys.

I'd say the Ferrari's Windcharger. With a few stat updates and a new spin on his powers of magnetism, there's some fun possibilities for Bay there, like forcing robo-testicles to clang together and shoot lightning out of their exhausts and what not.

Who cares who the characters are! I'm just glad they're using more than GM/American made vehicles this time around!!! Hopefully more models are forthcoming!

Because it's Michael Bay who said it, I'm going to take this with a grain of salt. BUT, it is a REALLY awesome car. If this is true, I'm really glad that they've started using cars that aren't just GMC.

I just had a thaught, if they use the red one it could be CLIFFJUMPER does any one else think that?
But if they use a yellow one must likely to be SUNSTREAKER or maybe as someone else said, it could be HOTSHOT or the name of any other transformer that was yellow,
It might be a decepticon if so it could be DRAGSTRIP(if they use the yellow one that is)
And if it was HOT ROD they need to put some damn flames and make look like he should,
