Is it just me, or does Silverstreak's voice often sound like Shaggy from Scooby Do? :D

I'm not sure if you're trolling, so I'll bite, but you're probably noticing because they have the same voice.

    So does cliffjumper.

Kasem left the cast after season 2, allegedly over a dispute over content he found offensive (Carbombya).

Check out the IMDB pages of the G1 cast members, your head will explode.

Well, I know Cliffjumper is voiced by Casey Kasem. But wasn't sure about Silverstreak's or Shaggy's.

I don't want my head to explode thank you! :D

Just checked that out. Kasem also did Teletraan 1. And holy crap! Brad Garrett did the voice of Trypticon!

Casey Kasem did a lot of voice work early on in his career: Shaggy from Scooby Doo, various characters for Transformers (really, who didn't do more than one voice?), he was also Robin in those "Batman and Robin meet Scooby Doo" specials.

And yeah, he left Transformers because of the Carbombya episode, being Iranian.

He was also Robin on the Superfriends. At that time Robin was usually voiced by him or Burt Ward (as on the "new adventures" batman series)

He voiced Bluestreak and Cliffjumper in the series and I did notice he was channeling a bit of Shaggy into both of them

Funny, I hardly noticed Shaggy in Cliffjumper at all. I only heard Shaggy in Blustreak.

Yep, Casey Kasem -- who voiced Shaggy -- did the voice of Bluestreak, as well as Cliffjumper and I believe he also voiced Doctor Arkeville.

I thought of the other Shaggy and imagined Bluestreak saying "They call me Mr. Boombastic..."

Yea there was a lot of interesting voice talent on Transformers. Since the topic's about Shaggy I just wanted to mention that Ratchet's voice actor played Scooby Doo himself, and Frank Welker was the voice of Fred.

Yes, Marcatron. Bluestreak's voice is that of Casey Kasem. As is Cliffjumper's and Teletran-I's.

In fact, his "Cliffjumper voice" is shared by Robin (of "Superfriends" and "The New Scooby-Doo Movies".)
His Bluestreak sounds more like Shaggy (and Alexander from "Josie and the Pussycats"), minus the unrepentant cowardice.
Teletran-I is simply the Autobot version of the Justice League/Superfriends' "Troubalert".

Don Messick (Mr. Scooby-Doo) supplied his voice to Gears, and possibly Scavenger. Both voices are shared with guest roles in early Scooby episodes.

Sideswipe and Tracks's voices can be found on the Smurfs (Handy -- I think -- and Vanity, respectively.) Which may explain why Tracks is such a Smurfy Corvette. (naah)

Same voice actor as Ratchet. Megatron has the same voice actor as Fred. Neither Daphne nor Velma's voice actresses have worked on Transformers.

I was thinking a few weeks ago about Track's and Vanity Smurf! Both seem so similar don't they? LOL!
