I still look at the end of 2008 as the end of Bionicle. It made a nice twist, like the bad guy won, and then the story ended. 2009 had sets, but no story to go with them. That's what I like to think.
Ah, now that was a good way to end that story arc, along with the fact that Mata-Nui was in fact a giant freakin' robot with little people living inside of him, but it was sad to see Mata-Nui (the island) completely destroyed by the robot's face. Oh, and something else that I still don't get, how did the motoran, turaga, etc. get back to Metru-Nui? Did they sail down or something ?
lol, but one of my favorite things about BIONICLE is that it can be so strange at times. So perhaps I am a sensible person, but wished I lived in a world that wasn't?
i'm sure the great being who went mad was named yethsraf. yeah, that'll be my next moc, great being yethsraf.

So as a sequal to my Rahkshi project I decided to recreate some of the Dark Hunters (Only the ones I liked or found building interesting-some of them are terrible!) Obviously they are not exact recreations due to not having instructions or even multiple angles, but I think I did ok. Oh yeah, speaking of which, nice idea to recreate the other rahkshi. Reminds me of the time I recreated the Artahka Bull from that rahi book.
ok, way i see it is... Great Being Yethsraf was one of the most respected creators, responsible for overseeing much of the experiments on bara manga one of the beings who forged the mask of life; Yethsraf came into contact with it, cursed to bring everything around him to life, and to be constantly told of their needs. to placate them, he spun a tale, a tale of the universe he was creating; the matoran, toa and makuta therein. but the animated objects begged for more, always more, he began to grow weary of their constant demand for entertainment. gradually, this stress on creativity and sanity drove Yethsraf to insanity; he killed off one of the best villains ever created and said he was going to destroy the universe his fellow greats were creating. the Great Beings, seeing this madness, imprisoned him so that no harm could come to their universe. now contained in the prison, Yethsraf plots revenge against the animated objects and the Greats, all the while knowing that two years yet remain in his imprisonment. in order to become more powerful, he got the blueprints for an eldritch abomination and has rebuilt his body accordingly. sure the whole thing, from the bio to the moc, is pretty lame. but why should we care about a toy line that's ended?[/farshtey]

Honestly, I don't blame the guy for becoming so jaded after answering thousands of repetitive fan questions (most of this fans not even hitting puberty yet), but he's over-stepping his grasp on the brand situation a lot lately.
