I've got one of these to keep MOSC (great alt mode by the way) and I wasn't planning on getting another to open, but I think I'm going to now. There's something about his head/face, his chest-to-waist ratio and those big monkey arms that, together, make a badass looking little guy. Along with the well designed and clean alt mode ( i think. I didn't notice whether he has a whole robot under there like with ratchet) he's edging away from "forgetable line filler" i.e.: blazemaster, and towards "surprizing gems of the line" i.e.: lockdown.

Purchased ROTF Brawn yesterday. As I expected, he is one awesome figure in the ROTF Nest toy-line, and I highly recommend getting him. :D

I popped his head off and took a look and I think cutting down his back collar would give his head the ability to look up to some degree. I'm not really one to modify my figures unless there's a huge design flaw affecting the normal operation of it but if anyone wants to take that idea and give it a go I'd be interested in seeing the result. I accept no responsibility if anything goes wrong though. :p

As the only RiD toy I ever had, it just occured to me that Brawn reminds me so much of X-Brawn. The head design is just so similar.

    Cool idea!!!!

I tried this with my ROTF Brawn and when you also fold the BFG down on the back, you get that old school looking Brawn,no weapons drawn but still ready to do some serious tailpipe kicking.I also pose him with the doors folded forward and it makes the articulation better because when you move the arms back, the doors dont smack into the back kibble plus it gives the upper arms more bulk.

    Mt03Tundra Robocop gun storage

I dont have a way to post pics but all you do is flip the leg panels so the "windshields" are facing down and can be "opened up'' from the legs,You put the handle of the guns on the ball and socket peg,(top of gun should face outward),and close up the flap to the leg which will hold the guns in place. If anyone has a way to post pics, please do.

Sooo... am I the only one who thinks this guy is more like a ROTF version of RiD X-Brawn moreso than G1 Brawn?

Purchased Brawn because he's an Autobot, but opened him up because fellow member Rexor said he was awesome, and he is..:bay

His faceplate and head kinda remind me of the "Predator" faces, not so much a piggy one:D
Had a little trouble with 1 hip, popped right back in, and 1 gun kept fall out..just put a small glue dot on that puppy and its staying put :thumb
LOVE this bot!!! 9.5 out of 10 :D

To be honest, it's mostly the head - but a bit of the body kinda gives me that impression, as well as the colors - if you replace the vehicle color with silver.

And the three dots on the end of his shoulder cannon also have that Predator vibe.

I'm really shocked at the near-universal love this guy is getting. He's been sitting on my desk at work and i feel like he's getting uglier, kibblier and worse-proportioned everyday (and floppier ~ i have barely touched him and his hip joints are losing their grip just standing there). After opening up Mindwipe and seeing how tidy his transformation is, I'm about to downgrade Brawn to junkion fodder. He's seriously my next-to-least favorite ROTF fig i've purchased (i've been very picky with the line) next to Scavanger.

(but he still has one of the best head molds in TF history)

Strange thing is that despite his kibble-ness and somewhat looseness (though mine is not nearly as floppy as others have said theirs are, guess I got lucky), I still love him. And I would love to tell you why, but I have no idea myself. I just... can't get enough of Brawn. Same goes for Deluxe Arcee.

Looking back on this thread... very surprised I missed this post just a few posts above my post asking if anyone else caught the resemblance... I'm totally with you, man. This guy definitely seems like a cross between G1 and RiD with some ROTF thrown in. It's a very cool amalgation of the three.

I love Brawn. Mine's not floppy and I actually like the way the panels form a cape on his back. I find that the other "kibble" doesn't restrict his posability. And he's got an awesome head and pair of pistols, so he was definitely worth it for me. One of my favorite ROTF Deluxes.

the only floppiness on mine is the hip Ball joints, I'm just frustrated because they went from tight to floppy-as-hell virtually on their own.

It's also not that the kibble restricts his poseability (he's super poseable), it just looks so big and messy and poorly thought out. it's like his whole alt mode is haphazardly hanging off his extremities.

I do LOVE the way his bumper becomes his kneecaps though.

but the thing the really kills me i think is the gorilla arms + the goat legs. One or the other i'm ok with, but together they just make him look really awkward too me.

It's not that he doesn't have some good aspects, it's just all those negatives compiled together take too much away.

I think the reason i'm extra down on him is i was super stoked for him from when we first saw pix at Botcon ~ he was like my most anticipated figure for 1H '10 and he just let me down. (Brakedown did too, to a lesser extent). But Mindwipe and Dirge totally made up for them. (Dirge is kinda the opposite from Brawn ~ he's got some negatives, mostly the arms, but everything the did RIGHT on him totally overwhelms the negatives)
