I know. I was just messin' with u. I agree that she did look a little funny in the eavesdropping panel. But so far generally, i'm liking Roche's portrayal of her.

I just had a sudden thought. There's supposed to be casualties to come amongst the Wreckers. What if Verity's going to be a casualty? What if Pyro and the other new recruits are going to be casualties too? Gasp! I already don't want to lose them!

 

I love Overlord's backstory. He might be one of the craziest, sickest Decepticons we've ever seen. What a great villain. I also love how he just 'drops' on top of his victims in his tank mode.

The new Wrecker recruits are great. I love Rotorstorm already. Pyro and Ironfist are fun too. Can't wait to see Impactor in action. Unfortunately, I'm almost positive he'll be one of the casualties that the Wreckers will have.

 

Another awesome job by Roche & Roberts. My favorite parts were when the Wreckers reacted to Overlord just like the Predators & Operation:Volcano.

 

I hope Rotorstorm doesn't kick it, I can just see him having a mental breakdown though and the walls coming down.

Kup and Springer will survive so will the older "classic characters" i'm guessing, then again, Ironhide did so I might be wrong.

 

I don't know. The fact that he actually did what he claimed he could might go a long way towards shoring up his confidence.

Remember, for all their misgivings, none of the newbs would have been invited to the Wreckers if they weren't slagging good.

Great art and story. Verity made some funny faces. Badass Perceptor still boggles the mind.

It's interesting to have Magnus somewhat at ease around the Wreckers. I suppose since they are a special task force under the executive (Prime) their questionable actions are dismissed. It's good to see this side of him as he feels more G1 and less hardcore law-and-order (although it's good to see him in that role as well!)

Still waiting to see what the hell is up with Ironfist.

That's all I've got. Everything was great and I'm looking forward to the next one. I wish Verity weren't drawn SO toonily, but otherwise no complaints.

And yes, the picture of Jimmy and Hunter was a VERY nice touch.

anyone also catch the homage to the g1 magnus toy? if you look at one of the panels of his back, you can see wheels in his feet and one of those white tab thingies used to hold up his "arms" in truck/trailer mode. I don't think we've seen these before on magnus. very nice.

 

I was rereading the later issues of AHM, and read the Kup/Prowl story in #15 this morning. After reading the first 2 Wreckers comics, I have a question concerning the "changes" Prowl made to Kup. Do we know if those changes have come to fruition before the start of the series, or is this something that could still happen in Wreckers?

 

Someone will have to correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm pretty sure those changes took place before AHM, and since LSotW takes place quite a while after AHM, that means it's well after the changes too.

 

I understand the timeline I think, and maybe I worded my question incorrectly.

As you say, the events of AHM #15 took place before the AHM 1-12 since Kup is restored to status before meeting Prime's crew on Cybertron, etc., so the question should be,

"Have they shown the ramifications yet of Prowl's "changes (i.e. where Kup is a mouthpiece of sorts for Prowl)" in AHM, or is this something we still might see in Wreckers?"

 

we haven't seen anything yet to my knowledge. but then again, we wouldn't have a frame of reference since we haven't seen kup sane before his spotlight!

what i'm afraid of is not only a 180 from prowl in his spotlight but a cancellation of ahm 15 in that spotlight as well.

 

I don't think that the "ramifications" are intended to be seen as a specific event (unless Prowl gets found out, of course). Rather, the reader's knowledge of Prowl's "changes" provide an undercurrent to his and Kup's actions... assuming that Costa doesn't completely dismiss the whole thing, as UltraMagnus3786 and others have feared.

 

I think the write up for the Prowl: Spotlight said, "See the 'new' Prowl", or something to that effect. My guess is it will be expanding on his recent "shady" decisions, turning Kup into his puppet being one of those decisions.

 

That would be fantastic if that's the case, but I can't help but think that any sort of "new Prowl" comment would be referring to Costa's version of the character, which thus far not only bears no resemblance to Nick's Prowl, but also seems to be depicted in a decidedly more boring fashion as a conscious decision.

That said, I hope I'm wrong on this, but I have a hard time keeping my hopes up at this point.

Yup. Right now i can only think of two users who don't like this series. You, and Sideswipe80/AutobotWarrior. I think it's good score, comparing to other IDW series.  

 

This is still the best thing IDW have put out sinces Spotlight Kup.
