I wonder if these will reach optimal distribution on all TRU locations? Like the Ice Cream Twins. Remember how hard they where to get. They where highly scalped items last summer. Now they are everywhere.
Well with any luck they will eventually saturate the whole market. I'm not taking any more chances though. My TRU has already gotten two shipments of them in and I missed both (just Ratchet hanging on the pegs) so when I asked about it they told me when the truck comes in and my new plan is to be there at opening. I fear I might encounter some scalpers... Oh well, I'll find out on Tuesday. BTW Animated Cyb. Ratchet isn't that bad at all.
The Ice Cream Twins had the advantage of they were at several stores so it's harder for scalpers to buy them all out when some cities have so many retailers selling them. If you struck out at Wal-Mart you might get lucky and find the twins at Target. With Arcee they only have to hit the only Toys-R-Us in maybe 50 miles to totally wipe the stores out of Arcee. If you don't find her before the scalpers do then you are just out of luck because there is nowhere else to search. Seems unlikely that Toys-R-Us will put many of them on their web-site because they know we will keep going into their stores in the vain hope that one day we can get there before they are sold out.
No sighting of either Arcee or Ratchet at the TRU I normally frequent in Jackson, Michigan. I may very well just order the Japanese Animated Arcee off of Big Bad Toy Store.
My local TRU hasn't even recieved shipment of the TFA figures. But statewide I know scalpers are picking those damn things up left and right. If I see 5 Arcees on the shelf you can guarantee I'm buying them all and selling them on the boards for retail price. I'd even donate them to a charity. Scalpers are friggen stupid. I can't stand 'em. Hopefully we'll continue to keep getting shipments though.
No luck with Arcee either, though my TRU has not gotten her yet. All I can hope for is that I can beat the scalpers or she hits saturation so I won't have to worry about them. Do you think Hasbro will make more?
Tough call because they don't normally, but then there are very few store exclusives that have been this hot either. On the bright side it might encourage Hasbro to make more pink car Arcee figures in the other Transformers lines when Toys-R-Us tells them those things have been selling like crazy do you have any more Arcee figures like that we could sell. Maybe a car mode Arcee for something like the Generations line isn't just a crazy dream any more.
