Truth be told, most times I'd personally rather pay a bit for a TakTomy import than try to land many U.S. store exclusives. Between collector/scalper fervor and living in an area with piss-poor distribution, I'd rather at least pay a bit extra for a Japanese import I KNOW THAT I can get a hold of.  

 

^ We're lucky in that we can obtain toys through souces other than standard retailers, or Hasbro.

For those who aren't so lucky, i hope they get some shot at these that's all.

If Hasbro doesn't release Blackout like they said they would, I'm so going to buy the Takara one.

I love how he's basically Movie Blackout in Animated style.

Definitely picking him up if/when he's released in the states. I lurves me some helicopters.

 

What a relief it is to see this. Since none of the new remaining Animated figures had been seen at recent conventions and no official images had been released, I was beginning to think that any chance for release had been forever lost.

 

Love it! I'm surprised how much I like the flat red eyes. Hopefully we'll get word of him showing up here in the U.S. soon. Getting tired of waiting for new Animated!

 

The only thing that doesn't quite work for me is the solid color eyes. The beady eyes from the Hasbro test-shot look more sinister to me, and are more accurate to boot. The rest looks better on this version.

I'll probably get whichever toy wins the race to market. Eyes are easy enough to repaint if needed.

 

This looks so nice.. I'm a sucker for animated toys and this will be mine!

 

I'm the Philippines and the only TF being mass-released here is ROTF. We haven't had any other TF line come out here since early January. We're getting overrun by the movieverse. I'm jealous of the people that already have TFA Arcee and TFA Cybertron Mode Ratchet. I started collecting TFA before any other line and it’s sad that it's no longer being released at retail. My best bet on getting more TFA is the after market scene here. They are great at getting hold of releases from Japan. I'm sure once TFA gets released from Japan, they won't disappoint. I just hope I get some before they run out.

 

Got mine preordered, but I'll cancel if Hasbro announces an official avenue of release for him stateside (i.e. something aside from 'these WILL be released').

I hope they paint up Rodimus as 'Rodimus Prime' and ditch that Rodimus Minor idea!

 

I'm on the fence about this guy. I'll definitely buy one, but I dunno if I'll be getting one to open.

 

What happened to all the season 3 Aminated figures? I didn't see any in the ToyFair pics, are they scheduled for release? I need Rodimus and if Hasbro aren't going to give him to me hopefully TakaraTomy will.

 

Way better than the Hasbro version. I look forward to finishing my TFA collection via Takara Tomy!
