    Need Help Post….
One thing that I am going to need help with are the decals. I am going to need quite a few decals (CAT decals, vehicle ID numbers, Decepticon Insignias, MACK, Komatsu, etc.). I do not have the proper equipment to do it. Could I commission someone to make my decals for me? I will specify what I need such as dimensions, color, background, etc. and whatever else you would need to make the perfect sets. Obviously, that person would get full credit for that work. I know Frenzy_Rumble did an awesome tutorial, but like I said, I have a lousy printer, etc.

Hey, Frenzy_R…. you have a little time to work with me for these? Pwetty Pweeease wiff cherwies on top?? :)

Of course this is open to everyone, but I would need to see some of your work to ensure a good fit. Let me know if any of you can help me out.

See now I could have seen that being worth the original $100 asking price.

    Brilliant job so far.

Good suggestion! However, I have actually just worked out a commission deal with Frenzy_Rumble for these decals. Obviously, I would have loved to have him paint my whole project, but alas, I will be doing it on my own.

He has been very receptive to my offer and I will be working with him to create these ever essential decals!

Big Thanks to Frenzy_Rumble for your future work on my project!

Very impressive custom. I wish the Hasbro version was near as cool as you made it.

I don't think so dude. What we have here is priceless. It's almost like Mr J's magnum opus, I can't imagine what else can be done to top this.

Yeah, this looks amazing. And proves how much Hasbro failed with this original toy.

UPDATE 2/26: Pictures located here and on the front page.

This is it! Last photos before he hits the paint booth! Will be posting photos of each vehicle as I finish them, all drum rolling to the big reveal. It will take a while to finish them, but have mercy, I will do my very best. With Frenzy_Rumble chipping in to help me with my decals (all will be as accurate as the Blu-Ray tells me they are), I am praying for one very solid piece.

Updates include Devastator's bottom lip that flips out in the movie (and this custom) during the vortex scene, AND when trying to "bite" at Mudflap in the air. Also, Articulated turrets located around his body much like the movie. However, unlike the movie, I elected to not include the Identical set of 12 missile block over his left shoulder in favor of the two missile turret that, in the movie, was actually located at the Hightower/Scavenger elbow joint. Since I could not effectively locate this missile there, and since Scavenger monsterous cab hangs off the back of the left shoulder, I decided to go with the smaller option on the shoulder. Forgive me? :)

    Enjoy!

i really hate to be a gripe. i mean the work youve done so far is really good compared to the toy itself. youve made some awesome upgrades to this thing. everytime i see a new supreme devastator come on to the radicons its almost always in an entirely new direction from the last guy that attempted it.

but the very one thing that has bothered me to all hell about this toy ever since i first saw it in its prototype pics is the way the things head is. last i saw in the movie devastators head doesnt tilt up and open down. it just expands down. plus his head does stick out a bit like he has a neck going forward. im still kinda waiting for someone to try this. cuz the toy really does look like someone smashed his head into his torso. the adding of the shoulderpads really helps it a whole lot. but i still gripe about it. i mean why does everyone love the legends version more? the head/neck setup is alot more accurate.

on a side note i love love love the "tongue". i was wondering when someone would actually notice that enough to put it on the toy.

WOW, the best Devs ever!! Great job in the details indeed, please keep us updated on any touches, and also, will you be painting this in the end? I'd really like to see Overlad red..
I just can't believe how close it is to the movie, the only thing next big win would be transformable vehicles, that would be a classic!! :thumb

I do know about being a customizer god, I'm just trying to make myself like this toy.... We're getting there :)

    Me too :D

No harm, no foul. I thought about doing that very thing, bringing the vortex forward to create more of a neck...but during the test fitting and trying things out, he instantly became Dolly Parton front heavy. All of his weight is distributed so that the Normal Force (for the engineers out there) is directly over the hip joints. Once you move from that, you create a moment arm with forces in the x, y, and z planes that compromises the security of the figure.

I dfinitely agree that it can look weird as is....but actually try and test fit one with the lowered neck. Due to the tilted nature of scavenger, it kinda comes off as more goofy than pleasing, IMO.

    Thanks!

Yes, everything will be painted their appropriate colors. No worries. Overload will be red and white, and will even have the J630 vehicle ID and 05 Trailer ID as seen in the movie (yes, I have watched that whole scene, frame by frame, many times...). All vehicles will be painted as if "new", and I will then dirty them up with mud, rust, and dust effects. They will all have their correct logos, brands, ID numbers, and "warning" decals as provided by the true customizing god, Frenzy_Rumble!

Yeah, I wish I could have done transforming robots as well, but I would end up with robots limbs, legs and arms, and even heads poking out all over the place. It would really compromise the look.

Thanks! Now I just need jcartwork's paint skills to shine through, and we'll be in business.

Appreciate your following! This has quickly become my favorite toy of the line. It was my least favorite going into the project.

And there are still more details that I am going to put on after paint (random railings, ladders, grilles, hoses, wires, cables, all kinds of goodies that will hopefully send this thing over the top!).

    Thanks, bro!

Fucking awesome. This really is nearing perfection. :rock

And don't worry about the neck, man. Having the head so close to the torso actually helps it. There was always something off with how it dangled so far forward in the movie.
