I have to agree with Mopedicon regarding Battlestarbase. He did something very similar to me. In early December I posted a thread selling a few loose bots. Battlestar PM'ed me wanting to purchase all of them. We agreed on a price and he was up front with me saying that he wouldn't have the money till the day after X-max. I said that I could wait a couple weeks and we had a deal.

Well, that week came and went, no MO. I e-mailed him asking if he did send it and he said it was in the mail. At the same time another board member left a message saying that battlestarbase never paid him and owed him some money. Battlestar said that the money must have gotten lost in the mail. This was the same excuse he gave me. The first money order got lost in the mail so I will send you out another one. The he tells me that the 1st money order wasn't sent out until the first week of Jan, a full week after he promised to send it out. Well, that MO has still never showed up.

Well, around the second week of Jan I decided to call off our deal. I might have believed it if it was only happening to me, but seeing as others have had the same problem, I believe it was the best thing to do. What makes me mad was that I was counting on the money to pay some bills and he never even apologized for the delay. I could have sold those bots to others on the board who would have paid on time.

So a word of warning, he may be a great guy and have a lot of friends on this board. But next time he tries to call "dibs" on the items you are trying to sell, be sure that he can pay in a timely manner.

I've never had a problem with battlestarbase, and have delt with him many times before. He's always payed me on time and shipped my stuff quickly too. He does have a very busy life, and I think people should respect that. even if he is a few weeks late on something. He's only human. He's a great person to deal with, and I have had nothing but success from him, and look forward to many more great deals with him :)

nlmatthews on Ebay. Horrible SoB tried to cash the M/O I sent him and then gives me Neg. feedback. I got my money back but the jacka's at Ebay wouldn't remove the Neg. Feedback.

I agree with Wheeljackslab. I've bought from him twice. The first time was ok, though he sent me a Metroplex without all the pieces, he fixed that pretty fast. The second time I ordered Hound, Sunstreaker, and Mirage from him. Hound was missing his stickers, even though he stated that the one he was selling me had the stickers, and charged me 10 bucks more for it. The Mirage was an absolute POS. He claimed it was 9.5 though it could not stand under his own weight. I contacted him and he said I could sent it back to him and he would take a look at it and if he felt it was bad he would swap it out for another one. He is defanately one to stay away from.

    Bad Dealer

    Mario Hetu of PQ, Canada.
    Ebay ID: Aquabot

Despite being a long time TF dealer and having a 700+ feedback at the time, he has ripped me and about a dozen other people off for TFs in February. No one has heard from him since.

Paypal investigation has already ruled in my favor and I expect Ebay's to follow.

This is more of a heads up than a bad seller. Recently a newbie seller named SLS019 started to sell the Japanese Re-Issues of the limited show pieces from 2000, like Dirge, Thrust, etc. He did not just have one or two of each, but 20-30 if each for a total of over 180 auctions. He has been recently become a non registered user on E-Bay and Paypal is bouncing back all payments. If you did buy from him and did not send payment, I would suggest you try to contact him and see if he has an explaination since he has not provided one to me yet:

kaliman11 He's on yahoo but may also be on ebay. This kid had an auction for a "100% Complete" Dirge. First off he lists all the parts and nowhere does he mention the laning gear, nor was it in the picture. so I got out bid by someone on this auction, I bid up to $10.00 the other guy should have won with an $11.00 bid or something but the seller cancelled both our bids when the auction ended. I think it's because he had a buy it now price of $55 and he didn't get that much. That's what I though reserves were for. So basically don't bid on this guy's auction because unless he gets the price he wants he won't sell.

I won an auction from dndcollectibles. I got the wrong item a week later. I didn't care because the wrong item was ok, but the point is the guy is a stooge. Who is going to spend $10 to send back a $20 transformer that I already spent $10 to ship to him? You know what I mean? Be very careful..if it is too good..then it is!

Scratch another one down for wheeljackslab.

Bought a supposedly complete Trypticon from him. Turns out he was missing 2 of the 4 double guns that go on his shoulders. Contacted him Said he'd send them. After numerous e-mails, I never heard from him again.

Gotta add planetoys to the list. Won the auction for a broken Sludge to fix up, and after three weeks nothing. On 4/18 I got an e-mail asking if I had gotten any of his e-mails (I'm on freaking AOL, for chrissakes) and he'll even throw in a gift for being so late. Still nothing.

Better list case4211 as the most horrible seller in the world. Thank god I didn't pay him. Listed a MINT sideswipe (actually had broken left window and FUBAR'ed missles, along with a Hound but later said that the Hound was a "typo" and freaked out when I questioned him about it. Hes emailed me everyday so far bitching me out for not paying. $30 for a crap sideswipe w/o a hound? WARNING SELLER IS IDIOT

maximal78 - this guy is a really jerk! I sold him some toys & then stated that they were not in good condition. A couple of weeks later he starts selling them and guess what his was saying in the descriptions: near mint-mint. I wrote about it to the friendly folks at Ebay and suspended him. Then he comes back under another ID: tfs4u. Other guys were mad because of some transactions with him and was banned again. Now his up again with his 1st ID, but still with the negatives. I contact those guys to verify how this person treated them, and guys, it was like asking about the devil. Just beware this guy!!

sterlingmithril = I bought a $2.00 Colosus Hero Clix from him, and he wanted $3.00 shipping. I asked him how much postage was, and he said 83 cents, so I sent him $1.00. Then he left me nuetral feedback saying I had changed postage on it. He told me that his time was why the extra $2.00 for having to "stand in line at the post office". Come on ppl, when you buy or sell on eBay, it is going to be shipped. That is how business is done. Don't overcharge, and try to say "your time" is worth money, because you chose to sell something on eBay, meaning that you knew you were going to have to ship it.

    Lousy seller.

add one more guy from ebay, seller: redandmer. I won a complete swindle metal chest from him for 1 dollar, he then email me back and told me shipping for him will be 7 dollars!!! WTF!! I had a jetfire shipped to me for 7 dollars before, this guys shouldn't be more than 2 bucks to ship. I think he's just trying to make his money back, casue he only got a dollar for the thing. Then he tells me that he have to pack him, and he have to drive out 30 minutes to go to the post office to ship him, so i uses his gas. Ok, i don't mind paying for handling, but i'm NOT paying for your gas! This guy is crazy, if you want people to pay for your gas, list it in the auction! Definitly not a good seller.

Let me add DND Collectables, too... ordered a fresh, new God Ginrai re-issue from him maybe a year ago, and it took like 3 weeks for him to return any of our e-mails (I had used a BIN with Paypal. This is usually the absolute fastest way to get something off of E-bay). Suddenly, he had "a family problem," and that was why he had not responded (I guess your E-bay store shuts down for weeks at a time when you have a "problem".) Then, abruptly, he changed his tune, and claimed that he had never received payment. He wanted us to just give him our credit card number directly (without going through Paypal). He was extremely condescending and rude to us, and claimed that we had not sent him one e-mail. My girlfriend sent him the Paypal receipt and reported his actions to E-bay. Two weeks later, Ginrai showed up. I was thrilled...

... but the box was mangled. Every corner was dented in, there were rips in the package, etc. Horrible shape. Good thing the toy was protected by styrofoam. Also, the Ginrai was supposed to come with a poster, and instead, came with some lame 8x11 color Xerox of Prime. Huh? Good thing I'm not a MISB collector. Needless to say, I was pissed. We did not leave neg. feedback, as we have an excellent, virginal E-bay record and we did not want to risk getting neg. feedback ourselves.

    To summarize:
Poor E-Mail communication w/stalling and rudeness
Semi-misleading listing (New MISB Ginrai w/poster)
Shady dealings (wanted us to pay again, although we clearly had already)
    Mangled packaging

Avoid DND collectables at all costs!

However, we have dealt many times on E-bay with good results, so don't let threads like these scare you away from E-bay. E-bay is a good way to fill in any kind of collection, especially Transformers.

I think DNDCollectibles is no longer operating under that user name. I think his new E-Bay name is toyworld2002 and his new store name is Toy World Super Store. The auctions look the same and he is already off to a wonderful feedback start.

    Add toys_n_joys please

This guy toys-n-joys sold me a lot on Ebay. His description says something along the lines of "some" items have the takara timestamp on the items while the rest were reissues. I knew some were fakes but some looked really authentic FOR THE CAMERAS...u may see the all the faded parts to the constructicons are in place where they should be. But that is for the pictures the surface facing the camera is real parts but underneath the real parts were fake made in china knockoff pieces of crap parts. Look at the item please and you all be the judges:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3131565538&category=4696&rd=1

The scavenger had the real faded shovel and real backing with the rub sign, not here is the interesting part, the pin that connects to hook is cheap black plastic and the swivel plate is fake green plastic and the leg joints should be die cast is actually cheap black plastic. None of the other items had any kind of Takara timestamp on it. The funny thing is the only one item that had a timestamp he threw in as a bonus to cover his butt. Bonecrusher was not even in the picture for the auction item. But had the takara timestamp and the funny thing is the rest of him is cheap green plastic and when i transformed him his legs pointed backwards MANNN...talking about butchering the item and if you want to make it seamless why the hell did you put the damned legs on backwards??? LOL...

Anyways i has asked for a refund and brought my case to him, he refused saying i should look at pictures and read the descriptions...ya i did and the pictures looked fine for the parts i wanted...it was worth that money for those few bots i wanted. I will just give away the rest. Anyways, he turned the tables on me saying i am lying and mean things like that. and that I got more than what i paid for and extra. Total LOSER. For a complete look at our correspondance, please go to my ABOUT ME page on Ebay.

    http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/a_man_with_no_name/

thanks for having this thread. I think it is very important to protect others from sellers like this guy here and all the others mentioned in this thread.
