Any chance of integrating the limb-bots into actual limbs? Instead of "giant-partsformer-robot-with-various-vehicles-attached-to-the-outside-of-it" like so many of these are becoming....

Not going to lie, sometimes it looks more aesthetically pleasing to have it parts forming. With my Computron I was seriously contemplating doing limb bots for the arms (even chose the same base figure for each arm so that they would line up) but when I tried that version against using vector prime's legs as the top of the limbs, I was sold on the looks alone. I say go with what you are happy with aprim. If you use the bots as the limbs, it may end up a beast with stringy arms, or maybe you can succeed where I failed. Regardless, looking forward to the final product.

This is awesome on so many levels. Not just because Computron is my favorite combiner, but also for the fact that you used a KO Oversized Mugenbine Candy set drill for Nosecone. Epic win all the way around.

This looks really great! I cant wait to see it when its painted. They only thing that i'm not sure about is the head. The sculpt is good, it just seems a bit out of scale, it might need to be a bit smaller. Otherwise its great

Yeah that was one thing I was questioning as well. The head looks ever so slightly big compared to the body.

Seriously though I concur, everything looks great about this apart from the massive head :thumb

Impossible. I just don't get the sudden dislke for parts forming bots. It is a necessity for combiners.

Please remember as well most G1 bots were parts formers, hell even Optimus Prime.

Of course it's a necessity to have extra parts and kibble to make it all work, but you're missing the point. The trend the custom combiners have been following is that once you remove all 5 bots from the equasion, you STILL have a giant robot husk leftover that the others simply attach to. Aesthetically speaking, this may look best however. But personally I loved how the G1 computron, menasor, etc. came together, their heads plugged into sockets on the main bot and you added hands, feet, and head, and you were ready. Ah the good old days. Too bad they were basically Scout Class combiners back then. :D

Agreed, scout class combiners that have little to no articulation are not as fun to look at or play with as the custom combiners we see today.

I do it to make something that resembles G1 Cartoon. There was a big difference in Cartoons and toy as you know. What seemed imposable is now achievable thxs to Pivite and other great customizers.

I don’t understand your complaint; if you want some thing different go invest some time and money into making it. It’s not nearly as easy as you may think. Hasbro still can’t make a combiner correctly. (ROTF Devastator limbs don’t even have robot forms) have you see energon superion and bruticus??

So yea I understand what you’re saying about attaching limbs to other things but that’s how I seen it. Again please post some WIP’s or completed projects so we can take a look at your vision.
