I really love Weaving as Megatron but I live David Kaye as him so much better. Ah, see memories. TF: Armada

In a way i agree... After 4 consecutive lines where Megatron gets 'upgraded' it became a running joke. I'd rather there wasn't an excuse to start that joke again.

Would you honestly be able to tell it was Weaving doing the voice anyway? They drop so many effects into his voice I could hardly tell. There were only a couple instances in the movie where I honestly thought it sounded like him.

Weaving would make an excellent movie-verse Galvatron. He's practically already doing the voice.

All they did was make it deeper.

Yeah, I think just as much a reason for not renaming the character as for the audience's sake was the fact that the revival wasn't so deserving of a name change. In the several series in which we've seen Galvatron, he's been the result of a much more mystical, science-fictiony sort of morphing rather than just a simple rebuilding. Plus, Orci said in a post-ROTF interview that he's hoping for Galvatron to be done in a future sequel, adding to the fact that the general audience wasn't the only reason for the decision.

Kinda makes it pointless since the TFs can probably reformat at will. The megatron/galvatron thing worked in G1 because he was gifted a new body and alt mode - the way TFs format in the movieverse makes this redundant.

Didn't see the "galvatron in unneccisary" option so I voted for someone else.

I liked Hugo Weaving as Megatron. I doubt we're gonna see Galvatron in TF3 anyways.

He might as well do Galvatron. Because he sounds or acts nothing like Megatron. However, according to the posters, Megatron is whoever Michael Bay says he is. Megatron is a name only to some people, nor do they respect the origins of the character.

So I ban you from one thread and you think it's a good idea to come and spout rubbish in a different thread as some kind of workaround?

    Really?

    Really?

Just because you don't agree with my opinion doesn't mean I don't have the right to express it.

Which you've already done, extremely poorly, elsewhere. At this point all you're doing is trolling as someone, inevitably, will take the bait and I'm sure you'll be all too happy to tell them that they're fellating Micheal Bay. Am I right?

David Kaye is the only one besides Frank who can properly do Megatron. He likes the character, he's emotionally invested and it shows.

I don't think we need a Galvatron, unless it was a different character entirely. Megs already came back as a tank, so it seems unnecessary (and I'd say a little silly) for him to reformat a third time.

Plus, it'll give Hasbro a chance to fix/improve the Leader Megs mold :p

Id say make Galvatron a clone like someone mentioned but a clone starscream made at the end of the movie while megs was all bashed up. Starscream thinks he can control the clone and take power over the decepticons and in result galvatron turns on starscream and forms his own league of decepticons.... that would be bad assery right there. (maybe even killing starscream in the process ala the 80's movie)
