Well... they do have females... my input is simply femme+mech= hatchling... cuz frankly nothing else makes sense to me. Personally i think it was a fan wank to all of the fans who read teh japanese comics (one part where Deathsaurus is fighting to save his planet and his family and Esmerelda (spelling?) comes out to the Autobots and asks them to spare him, showing off about... 500ish little children that were supposedly his.... Deathsaurus is a busy guy...) but that was just under his profile on TFWiki. Go look if you don't believe me. It should still be there.
The Fallen wasn't teleporting. He was opening a space bridge like Jetfire, which is likely why we didn't see anyone do that until Jetfire explained that's what he was doing.

when there arefemale autobots, then i think there are female cons too, we just hadnt seen them. Also nearly all decepticons were former Members in the Cybertronian Military, so the majority of the Decepticons are males. I am sure that there were millions or billons of Transformers who once populated Cybertron. From what we saw in Defiance, Cybertron seems to be a City Planet, maybe like Coruscant.
What. The. HELL? How...where...what sort of sense does any of that make?! How can you conceivably think that they're dimorphic in anything like the way humans are? The Arcees had guns and wheels, and transformed. The TFs we've seen in the films so far come in a staggering variety of sizes, from Scalpel to Demolishor. I pity the Scalpel-sized female Decepticon that suddenly finds herself the romantic target of Devastator. Gonna need some serious stiches after that encounter. It'd be like an elephant trying to hump an ant.
What a terrifying thought... But yeah, with the great size variations of the movie TFs, i wonder how the tiny ones avoid being stepped on by the larger bots? Do they all just have to rely on sensors to detect smaller presences and thus avoid crushing them accidentally? Not that this has anything to do with hatchlings. Maybe most of the smaller bots are actually still young ones? Scalpel, Wheelie and Frenzy could have been online less time than the bigger bots.
I think the hatchlings are for decepticons drone army. The original transformers (Like Megatron or Optimus Prime) were created by the allspark.
