MMmm no thanks. I find 3D an over blown gimick. It was fine for Avatar, that was almost entirely a visuals driven movie, but other than that.... no not for TF3. Add to that i'm of the population who suffer severe migrains if they watch 3D shows due to small eye issues that aren't bad enough to require glasses.
TF2 would have been great in 3D. I thought it would be because I thought IMAX was the same as 3D. The forest battle would be great in 3D. Anyway, I'm a fan of 3D.
Pass. Knowing Bay and co, 3-d would get in the way of there being an actual story. Nothing but 3-d explosions and gimmicks.
3D is great for fun visual movies and horror films. THATS ALL you throw in lasers and baysplosions and 80bajillion moving parts and you got a recipe for disaster.
yeah lol..he would place small charges under the seats of a select few and then blow the people up one by one during the film..then for the grand finale flame throwers would pop out of the screen and incinerate the rest of the audience ...hehehe a whole theater filled with charred carcasses.
I would like to see Unicron in 3D. Hope if he is in it they don't kill him off in about 5 minutes like The Fallen, and he will be an actual threat.
There is no way that Avatar 2 is coming out by next summer. They put it out there that they have ideas for 2 more but the ball isn't rolling yet. No pre production. No filming. The movie is also 95% CGI. It would take at least a year or more of artists working everyday on this movie just to get it done. If Avatar 2 started filming today I'd say a summer 20012 or 20013 is more realistic.
Since they can't really use a writers strike as an excuse for a poor movie next time (unless they're really lucky and there's another strike to hang the blame on) I think going 3D will be a great scapegoat for if TF3 turns out to be crap. "We planned this great scene but then when it came to filming the scene in 3D we felt it didn't work as well so we had to do another version of it which also didn't turn out well, but by then we'd ran out of time and cash to do it over so it had to stay in the final cut of the film. That darn evil 3D ruined your movie experience for you. Honest."
There is no way in hell that James Cameron would release a sequel to Avatar in 2011. He's to much of a perfectionist to release a movie so soon.
As sure as heck hope not. Some of us can't tolerate the 3-D. If they do have TF3 in 3-D...they at least better have the 2-D version out.
... I wear glasses. I say yes to 3-Ds(just like SOMENONES school grade... ... Timmy Turner ). I know it's "cheesy" and " easier to know it's a movie",but,I just love 3-D! I say yes to TF3: ... Revenge of Mr. Crocker
I don't get the 3-D hate. It's not bad at all. But I guess change always pisses people off. The same shit happened when color movies came out, as well as movies with sound. Oh well.
fuck 3D. that shit and Transformers do not go together. =and no, it does not create better immersion...it just makes person more aware that they are watching a movie, and they are constantly assessing the picture and it takes away focus from what matter.... THE FUCKING PLOT!!
As long as 3D doesn't make this movie a mindless visual effects extravaganza with Bay just showing off the 3D effects at the sake of a story, I'm all for seeing Transformers in 3D. However, I'd certainly say that Bay concentrating on developing the characters of Transformers is more important to me than this news.
