I bought the mold without ugly lightning bolts in 2007, and I lost interest in it in about a month. I wasn't about to buy it again. Let some kid or another fan have it, I decided.
IMO the only "decent" Ironhide was the 1st release for the first movie. Even that one is suspect. I know I'm not the only one keeping his fingers crossed for HA Ironhide.

I'd love one of each too! So as for Recon Ironhide, I own the original movie 1 version, and I like Recon WAYYYYY better. While I will agree that the lightning bolts are a bit much, his paint job in bot mode is KILLER! (I keep my TFs displayed it bot mode) Not only that, but I absolutely LOVE the weapons that came with this model. There's just something really badass about the Autobot's weapons master having some real, gritty, brutal lookin' weapons (Hellooooo?! Giant Rambo dagger, anyone?! ("That's not a knoife. Now THIS is a knoife!" LOL! If you don't know that line, first of all, shame on you. Secondly, use your PC and go watch Crocodile Dundee!)) instead of always having pulse cannon-this and particle beam-that. So to sum it up. If you are a bot mode displayer, and you want some cool, unique weaponry, then Recon Ironhide IS the way to go! OK, on to the last thing I wanted to mention. I'm assuming that we now live in a post-Bludgeon crazied world. With that said, let's start pooling our efforts to the future. Right on. I just left Recon Ironhide for someone who will appreciate him more than I would. In fact, Bludgeon and TRU Hoist were the only ROTF toys I wanted. The old school is really where my primary interest lies these days. Of course, I'll continue to browse the toy aisles and report the new stuff.
Is anyone interested in a copy of the new Army of Two game for the PS3? I picked up a copy today along with Dark Void so I could get the $60 gift card TRU was offering if you bought two of four games from a list and are a Rewards R Us member. I don't really want it since I still have the first one on my shelf that has yet to be played. Got the Kabaya today, here's the skinny - I've got one complete set extra that's Foster's since he spoke up first for one, but I don't have two Primes for Mister Gone, I have a classics and a Star Saber left. If Mister Gone wants them they're his, otherwise they're up for grabs. I'd prefer to let them go together to keep things simple.
I've been out of the loop remodeling my ugly-ass bathroom for about 5 days. I did get a chance to swing by the Oakdale Target yesterday and they had jack-squat for anything even remotely new. Also, a non-TF collecting friend mentioned that the Apple Valley Target had the exclusives on clearance as of Sunday, but only at the 30% off mark.
