i'm afraid the deluxe ratchet won't be as big as he is in robot mode to challenge him. still, alone, it's a great lookin figure.

    Interesting... ^^

I see. That's cool. :)  Would you say he's even better than ROTF Ravage? I was supposed to get him (Ravage) but I didn't in the end..

And if you have the time, may I request a video review of ROTF Lockdown please? :)

Man, I'm so on the fence about this guy... cool design, and cool character, but I think it would stick out like a sore thumb on my Decepticons Universe shelf...

Okay, here's a new batch of pics. Some comparisons with Animated TFs, and some pose shots:

Comments like these just annoy me for some reason.

I dunno why some people think others are insane for liking something they don't. That's probably one of my biggest pet peeves.

Well he arrived the other day from China, and I must say he is definitely my favorite ROTF deluxe figure and definitely garners a place among my very favorite figures.

I love a deluxe that is either surprisingly tall or bulky and wide. So in my eyes, he is proportioned well; his skinny upper thighs balanced by his "boot-like" feet, and tall, thanks to legs that run the length of the car body in alt-mode not unlike the Animated figure. Actually they both are practically identical in proportions with the exception of skinnier upper legs, and a litte more bulk in this shoulders. It's surprising, given their transformation is radically different.

My only mark against him is the arm ball joints are oh so easy to pop out while transforming him. They are tight enough otherwise and hardly pop out posing, so I wager it's because of the complex shoulder joint that is pulled outward in transformation The only as to really avoid it is do the process gingerly, moving them gently out and into place. It is tough to do so putting him back into car mode from robot mode just as well.

Got ROTF Lockdown and Brawn in HK

ROTF Lockdown looks a bit smaller than his Animated counter-part, however, his overall design has a much much more seasoned appeal.
Transformations are totally different, while ROTF ver. is more poseable in robot mode.

The movie-styled face, lots of mechanical details, and that slim gesture, make him kinda look like General Grievous to me.
There are 3 joint parts for his head n neck! Probably the most flexible head EVER! And hey, he stole his neck from Kamen Rider Black RX LOL.

The dissymmetrical arms are cool, and totally fit in Lockdown's "assemble boydy part" character...
but I don't know if it's only me or what, my Lockdown's arm joints are falling off almost every time I transform or pose them --- One MAJOR draw-back of the figure IMO
Or, is this just a nod for the "assemble character"?? XP

Under that chest plate, there're some decent details of robotic structure.

Very similar veh modes, while still apealing in toony/realistc styles.

ROTF Lockdown's claw hand can filp out in car mode, play dirty in races!

yeah the whole arm popping off thing seems to be consistent unfortuantely. when i got my lockdown they did the same damn thing, look at it funny and they pop off, but it doesnt bother me as this figures is awesome.

the whole neck head thing is really cool. i actually have mine with the tires behind his legs and not of to the side, looks good to me at least that way.

same here. Fact is, i damn want him, but cuz of HasTak not giving off a frickin release date of leader starscream i'll just keep savin till the lc Screamer comes out, and then by the time it does, i'll probably already have enough for both him and Lockdown, yet of course with my luck Lockdown will be sold out everywhere here in Malaysia, and i'll end up with a lc Screamer and a pegwarming deluxe class that's NOT lockdown. sigh :banghead:
