So you're glad they're not gonna add a lot of robots, but you also hope they add JUST as many robots as they had in RotF.....

Why do they listen to us again?

i think that the amount of explotions or robots in the movie doesn't make it good or bad..

Bay's words means to me that it will be more like the first movie.
    Not more than that..

Transformers 4: No robots at all, no explosions at all. All the transformers are stuck inside Pretender shells and have to learn to live as humans.

Bumblebee's first job interview. The twins working at Mickey D's. Ratchet working along side Dr. McDreamy and Dr. McSteamy. Ironhide being fired from his substitute teaching job for using corporal punishment. Sideswipe becoming Top Chef ("Interesting. You wish to become a cook, but as a robot you have no sense of taste. Without the distraction of taste, your mind is free to touch the Zen of pure flavour. You could become the greatest chef ever.")

As for Optimus, he becomes the governor of California after a stint as a blockbuster actor.

    I smell an Oscar!!!

It's the Way Of The Fandom. Every unguarded sentance, unchecked by corporate lawyers for factual correctness, will be siezed upon and from there we'll extrapolate huge swarths of completely fictitious facts, we'll type spiraling towers of bullshit reaching up into the sky and on into space, past even the inscrutable limits of common sense.

And we'll decorate them with banners woven from pointless fanwank and faulty reasoning, depicting scenes from the earliest Marvel manuscripts.

And we'll climb those towers, we'll stand in the gilt balconies of internet forums and sing our songs of previous generations from those lofty heights.

And our voices will carry on the wind across all of youtube, but all anybody who hears them will be able to make out is a reedy, high pitched whine.

And they will pity us, for we are all sad bastards. So sayeth Primus.

haha i thought it seemed a bit off the mark, you normally seem to know the score.

when satire is indistinguishable from the general tone of the forum, you know there is something very badly wrong :D

Um, I got the impression it was all in an aural context, not visual, or even dialogue related...
    Explosions are pretty safe methinks

Don't know if it was mentioned (wouldn't surprise me), but I'm personally thinking he's trying his misinformation campaign. You know, since Bay + Less Explosions = not much probability.

I'm not quite surprised with Bay's interview much. More characterization and less explosions? I can deal with the fact the that robots will be FINALLY given some of the attention they truly deserve, but I would disagree with Bay's "decision" on less explosions for TF3.

I always hoped that it should have been more well balanced than the other two movies; the fans love to see action, and many fans want more screen-time for their favorite TFs.

I think they should just stick with that point.

Can't wait for TF3, as for bays comments. U'z a fool if you listen to a dam thing he says. Bay and less explosion, NO. Movie coming out this summer, NO. NO Megatron in part2, a Big NO. If this is to be the final movie, I want to see an All Out War, no humans.

I'm liking the sound of "cooler landscape" and "nice crescendo ending," not to mention getting "more into the robot character."

My feelings as well. Shooting hasn't even started and Bay is pulling his misinformation stick again because as we all know it worked so well last time trying to tell us Megatron was dead for good and Hasbro lets the cat out of the bag.

Now if this stuff was actually true it might be a good thing. While we all have robots we'd love to see make it into the series you really don't want another situation where robots are there just to be there. Or the really bad thing of robots getting shoved aside because they were robots from the last movie. Actually knowing something about the robots from the movie instead of having to buy a toy or a comic book could be a very nice thing.

But really I think the human cast needs to be cut back a bit as well. Professor Creepy didn't add anything to the film and that's time better spent on Sam, Epps or Lennox.

Who knows maybe Hasbro or our new writer actually got it into his head that character and story are good things for a film. Sure pretty explosions are nice but without a story and characters explosions get kind of boring. Then again this is Bay so he could be just telling us what we want to hear.

Here's the big question though. We know that sequels end up with bigger budgets so if we are getting less robots and less explosions then what is the budget getting used for?

Less explosions? Bullshit. That's the only thing that sets Michael Bay apart from an amateur with a super-8 camera. That's as if Jimi Hendrix said he was going to record an album with less guitar.

Less robots? Ah, so it'll be a poorly directed US military docuentary then?

    "Fantastic."

(I sense the misinformation campaign rising it's head again. GREAT idea ince it worked so spectacularly last year)
