    Hey there everyone.
    Y'know, with the economy and other things, life can be crap. Mine isn't perfect. I'm currently unemployed, feel like I'm up to my ears in debt (its actually not that much, but feels like it) and living in my parents' house is getting me to my last nerves.
    But you know what? Life's great. I have a group of dependable great friends that I can always hang out and have fun with. I may not be in the greatest shape in the world, but I have my health and can't really complain about that.
    I have a wonderful girlfriend that loves me and has stood by me while I've been unemployed, and somehow understands my crazy geeky habits. I have my hobbies that I enjoy, and fun communities to go to online (like this one)
    So, even in crappy times (which I know a lot of people are going through), I can go to bed at night and be satisfied with how I'm doing day-to-day.
    How about you? What's made your day? What are the things you're grateful for?

    Not much, really. My parents recently separated and it's shaken up about 75% of my feelings about reality in general. Aside from that, I'm stuck in one giant rut at the moment, waiting for something to change.

    Life has its ups and downs but God has blessed me so much with:

    - People who love me for who I am, warts and all (though I actually have no warts, hehe). These people are my mom, my sister and her family, and my gf;

    - A good job which among others enables me indulge my new hobby, collecting TF stuff of course;

    - Countless other blessings, big and small.

    Just grateful for all these... :)

    I've got a great wife, great friends, almost completed my collection goals, have a roof over my head and food on my table. Sure, life isn't always easy, but it beats the alternative. :thumbs2:

    I have a pain in the ass daughter, but I'd have it no other way. I have an amazing girlfriend. I'm gainfully employed. All of the rest is just gravy. :)

    - I'm less than two weeks away from completing my dissertation defense and finally earning my Ph.D.
    - In about 6 weeks, I'll be moving to Pittsburgh to start a new job, at a significant raise from my current grad school stipend.
    - I'm a few weeks away from the next step in my quest to immigrate to the U.S.

    While I generally feel that my life isn't the greatest, I am grateful for these things:

    1) A roof over my head
    2) Food on the table
    3) Being enrolled in a program in college that is worth getting into
    4) Having such great friends here on TFW
    5) Getting into a hobby that makes me happy

    Was this made to counter that 'lonely and Depression' thread? :lol

    Anyways, while a lot of things could be better in my life, I'm just happy I have a nice roof over my head and good friends and family to support me.

    Hey, out of curiosity - what program did you get into? Which college/university?
