I just hope they don't try to add some BS battle damage or weird grey spots like they did on the first Prime and on WM Starscream

I wouldn't be surprised if they paint his dino-mode teeth and lips black, and say "he was using his flame breath".  

 

I'm worried that while the figure might be more affordable at retail here(like MP Prime and Starscream/Skywarp), it might not come with all the parts, like the apron, platter, et al. Also concerned about the paint apps.

If it ends up looking just as good(doubtful) and retains each accessory of the original Japanese release, I'll pick it up. If not, I'll pay up and get the Japanese release. Looks like an awesome and fun toy all around.

 

Thus far I don't think any of the US masterpiece release hasn't included all the accessories the japanese version came with.

 

I don't think they've skimped on accessories yet, but with the comic version release which had different items there is the question of which will we get with the US version. I just hope they include the crown. I could care less about the apron, drink tray, and mind link thing.

 

Dude, I could totally do WITHOUT the apron and tray. Even the mindlink thingy could go. Sword and rifle are the only musts, though the crown would be a great throw-in. If it's all there, great. Otherwise, so long as I get my lock'n'loaded Grimmers that also slices'n'dices, I'm cool.

 

honest for Hasbro MP Grimlock id be surprised if we got the apron or tray as Hasbro likes to attract as many buyers as possible and kids would have no clue about them and kids love dinosaurs so a big robot dinosaur would definitely attract there attention

 

I hoping its a spitting image of the Takar version but with the crown and a few other accessories. As far as the apron and other stuff, nah I wouldn't want that. I just want a Grimlock anyway which way and really waiting on Hasbro's version to get anyway since the Tarkar version is a bit more expensive then I wanna be able to afford right now.

 

I don't think the platter and drinks will come with the US version since that just screams choking hazard.

 

The drinks are about the same size as drinks that come with various Cantina Aliens and other random figures (Aunt Beru, Slave Leia, etc.) in Hasbro's 3" Star Wars line. The Star Wars drinks are considered too small to be choking hazards, so I would imagine Grimlock's cocktails would be regarded similarly.

 

Yeah, you're right. Not sure then if Hasbro will include everything. Would be nice though if they did.

^thanks, hope they do. Can't wait to find because a while ago I decided to sell off my whole collection and collect only masterpieces. This is the only aspect of toy collecting that I am still a part of :'( lol

 

I think Hasbro *may* push for the Crown so as to attract those who bought the first version, but didn't buy the comic version. Really though, everything but the gun and sword is superfluous imo.

 

I have a feeling this will come out in November.
