Been posted. But relevant, because that video is what made me get Tahu.

    Fuck that video.

To be honest, I like the Stars Tahu more than the original.

The original is so dull and dinky compared to today's sets.

Really? Stars Tahu is the deffinition of dull. He doesn't do anything, you can't even get him into a decent pose, (mostly due to the arms being bnt to far, and the legs not being bent enough) and he's got no style to him. The original Tahu is really nice. Can get some good relaxed or wide-stanced poses out of him, and he's got that cool, technic mechanical look that Bionicle's been missing since the Hordika showed up.

Plus, the new one has a horrible head. Everything about it is terrible, even with the mask, which contrasts horribly with the body. There's no deffinition to the eyes or shape of the head.

Almost everything about Stars Tahu is a letdown, which sucks because I like the Agori/Matoran build. It's simple and reminds me a lot of the older sets, but Tahu is deffinately the build at it's worst. The only saving grace is the new peices are good for Mocing.

Well, I've been fiddling around with the Stars some more, and I have to say, they give me NO nostalgia value for the originals. However, they do give me nostalgia about how much smaller the canister sets used to be.

Playing with Gresh, I actually am starting to like him more than Tahu. I still like Tahu, and I'm sure he'll become my favorite when I get all the gold parts, but Gresh's colors I find work a bit better than Tahu's colors. Probably because they are placed a bit better.

Tahu is my least favorite Star too. Just so freaking dull, like Split said. : /

According to lego's online store, the stars are £7 in the uk, not the £5 the Agori were. Do they cxost more compared to the agori elsewhere too?

In the US, they cost $8, which is one dollar more than the agori. I'm surprised they actually aren't $10 dollars, with the larger part count, and canister.

Just got Stars Takanuva. I like him more than I thought I would. The mask is still as cool as it used to be, but on the 08 matoran head, it's a bit of a problem. I really like the staffs.

I'm really digging Takanuva. Probably my 2nd favorite out of the 4 I own.

As nice as the canisters are, I wish they would just use the same cardboard box that works for every other lego line.

well, when that happens the price jumps by about 40%.
unless the ben 10 sets are a bit bigger than the glatorian, it doesn't seem right.

but the reason i came to this thread is that i think that the new XPlode looks kinda like torch/flame of throwbots/slizers fame.
if you look closely at the blur, before you get a headache you might notice that his shoulders look higher than his head. interesting.

Got Nektann today. He's pretty cool. The spine is great, gives the set a lot of character. The weapon is kinda odd, but it's okay.

But isn't Stars Skrall the worst out of them all? He seems to be the most dull to me.

Skrall is terribly underrated. The shoulder blades, for most poses, aren't a problem. The unused ball is something I hardly ever notice. Yeah, he doesn't make too much sense to be in the Stars, but he's not bad.

Stars Skrall is awsoem. I don't have him, but for fun I constructed him out of spare parts to detail minus colour, and I liked the design. It felt simple yet thoughtful.

Yes, in Canada, they are $10.99, $2-3 more expensive than the Agori ($7.99-8.99), which were already overpriced. :redface2:

    EDIT: 100th post. Yay!
