It's possible for them to change their stance on reusing molds. At Botcon, I remember being asked if that was a big deal or not...

Well since Hasbro bought Tonka and started cramming the "GoBots" copyright onto TF material wherever possible, and producing product like Leader-1, Fracture(Crasher), Deadlift (Spoons), Reverb (Who's Go-Bot name I forget...), and the like, I'd say GoBots have pretty much been officially grandfathered in by Hasbro.

Not to mention the E-Hobby set and it's fan-club derivatives.

I still like the idea of Machine Wars, but what would they do?

What we got was a mini G1 reboot set. Would FP do repaints of that set?

Considering Thunder Clash and Skyquake got used this year, do they go looking for another suitable mould for each?

Admittedly not hard for TC (though I'd be personally pissed to see any of the much more suitable moulds being used for Prime afte TC got Rodimus), but Skyquake was great and of course was already using a SS Mould.

If they opt for a expansion set then its just a generic G1 type set.

I'd be down for some G2 Sideswipe, that's for sure.

Valid points, but that still doesn't make Gobots lost or a Transformers generation. I'd like to see a Diaclone set, but Diaclones, using your E-hobby thoughts, aren't really lost either. The only generation really lost is Transtech, but I think Funpub would be hard pressed for the right molds to use. G2 would be easier, again not really lost.

Maybe it'll be a G2 story that'll bridge the gap between G1 and BW.

    Lost Generation makes me think of the European G1.5 stuff. We've already had Thunderclash, but I'm thinking of the named characters, not ones like the Rescue Force. So that leaves;

    Boss
    Hurricane
    Flash
    Scorch
    Rotorstorm
    Snare
    Talon
    Skydive
    Falcon
    Stalker
    Skyquake

That's not a half-bad idea, and it would make a logical follow-up to last years set.

OTOH they didn't exactly treat the Euro/JP guys with a whole lot of love and respect last year....so maybe not...

I would certainly like to see updates of Rapido, Skram, Turbofire, and Windbreaker.

I loved those midsize G2 cars.

I'm hoping for a Machine Wars redux with the use of Universe Countdown as Soundwave, and possibly one of the Bruticus combiners as Sandstorm. Or maybe Hubcap.

I was just thinking that, would be cool to see some more Micromaster homages, maybe even the Powered Masters.

I've got it, we are going to get actionmaster characters who aren't actionmasters.

    Krok, Mainframe, Gutcruncher, ect...

As long as they use 95% Classics/Classics 2.0 molds I'll be happy, but I'm really hoping they don't do ridiculous looking G2 color schemes. If they can make G2 'current' looking & 'fresh' more power to 'em.
