I remember the leaked script for Revenge Of The Fallen too. I'd say all those plot points that Wheeljack Prime named lead me to believe that was official as well. Alot of stuff changed, so yeah, it's not close, but it could certainly have been an early draft from which certain plot points have been carried through.

Or maybe not, I don't care.

I just love how dramatic this 'Beachcomber' guy is in his mail about the script, though. Har har.

Yeah, I read it as well on Allspark.com, and... it just looks too fake. F.A.K.E. Fake, people. Fake.

I don`t really get the `time travel' slaarg crap its trying to dwell on, and people, u are absolutely right, its a fake. It looks like its written by a GEEWUN-ner who hates Bay to the core, and its just screams `screwed up fan fic' as well. A REAL screwed up fan fic gone horribly wrong.

But let`s not beat around the bush, this supposed `script' is F.A.K.E.-Fake, and it is also B.A.D.-Bad.

I feel bad for anyone who uses the word good (or "too good to be true") to describe this.

Alright, I gave up after page 12, then skipped to the end. I'm so glad I didn't read everything in between, yet I feel sorrow in that I cannot unsee the ending.

Funny enough though..I didn't like that leaked script of TF2 either..but compared to what we got that might not have been so bad (ooo burn..)

the further i get into it the more wanky it becomes. The time travel especially and the stuff about old vehicle modes. up until the time traveling thing is fine. apart from that whoever it was wrote this should note that the movie universe is not G1 and won't ever be, the first two movies were far too sucessful to change that much.

We have a contender for the Bernie Madoff award for best fake of 2009...

Nice attempt, however. As for asking if screenplays have typos, yes they do. I've read
a number of rough draft scripts (as well as final scripts) and usually there are a few per script. Also, screenplays *can* call for certain shots (establishing shots, or a close up if really important), but it's totally dependent on the writer of the screenplay (George Lucas did it a lot for the first few drafts of Starwars)...

However, the story before the "screenplay" about Hasbro being upset about the humping robot, the testicles, etc, seems completely bogus. Hasbro is VERY hands-on with their intellectual property, and signed off on the script, plus they being involved would have been among the first to see the films. If the CEO of Hasbro said he wanted the testicles out, they would have been taken out.

This reads too much like a fanfic. The pacing is off, there are too many "little details". And finally, there is WAAAAAAY too much special effect. It costs a ton of money to have a Transformer in the frame. This treatment has robot Transformers on screen 70 to 80% of the time. That is NOT gonna happen. 25 to 30% screen time is the best you can hope for (like TF: ROTF).

Fake, it's too fan-wark to be real. It's making the movie into G1, which it will never be. So yeah, any real info on the upcoming movie?

There's no way this screenplay is legit. For one, I speed-read through most of it, and I didn't see Skids and Mudflap ANYWHERE in it. Seeing how the Twins are Michael Bays "favorite Transformers" I find it odd that they would be nowhere to be seen in this "story". It would seem that Michael Bay and Mr. Krueger have already begun Part 2 of the accursed misinformation campaign. But I do hope the Combaticons really do show up in movie three, because that would truly be Baytastic.

It felt like someone sat down in a 100-level creative writing class, showed then G1, then the 86 movie, then both Bayformers movies, and said "Connect these two storylines together."

Beyond the obvious "This is basically just G1 over again and ignores established continuity", there's a merchandise problem. Hasbro has hitched the proverbial wagon to Bayformers. For all the bitching about RotF, it's still one of the highest grossing movies in history. The toys sold like gangbusters. They can milk the crap out of it until the next one comes out. So, why go in a completely opposite direction from what they already have?

I think the best clue as to the direction the franchise is headed in for the third movie was Epps' line of "If God made us in his image, who made them?". It is as if Bay put a giant neon caption on the screen and went "FORESHADOWING AHEAD!"

From a Hasbro perspective, they're going to want to shoehorn every Autobot and Decepticon that ever got TV screen time into the movie. And it's not like they don't already have good designs for new bots (see: the Osprey/Springer design, The Fallen Earth Mode design, etc.).

I call fan-wank. But, as fan-wank goes, it's not bad. I wouldn't sit through two hours of it, but it's at least an interesting read.
