Someone doesn't know what the meaning of "Knockoff" is.

Last I checked a knockoff was based off an already existing product.

I didn't think they were licensed by Hasbro?

They're not. They (and their factory) have the benefit of not being based in North America or Europe.

Actually, as long as it's a new unique design and does not use the names of any Hasbro owned characters or properties, they could make whatever they want, even in the US.

For example: You could make your own version of Optimus Prime, as long as it is a unique mold ( not just a copy of something hasbro has already made ), and you could sell it in the US as long as you don't call it Optimus Prime, or a Transformer. You could just call it robot-truck or something like that.

I've read at various posting about peoples views on certain Transformers products. In general to me, if I like it, official or unofficially authorized, have the means to get it. And I want it, Im getting it. That's just me.

nah, I dont want to get into that, its an obvious rip off of Rumble/Frenzy character. They make cool looking stuff, they should design their own characters, not steal other peoples. The commander trailer, I can let pass, its just an accessory kit, its a grey area at most, but this is pushing it too far.

pitty, Rumble is one of my favorite characters, I love that little guy :p

I hope you can understand my frustration. I come here because I love Transformers, I look forward to Transformers news and seeing new Transformers toys. When we get new pictures of Transformers, that aren't "Transformers" its annoying.

Don't get your hopes up that this is a Fansproject figure just because of that artwork. ;)

The artwork is definitely similar to the prototype, but it's most likely not supposed to be the same thing. If it was, the artwork would look pretty much exactly like the figure. The artwork appears to just be a generic looking Frenzy/Rumble design.

This still has the chance of turning out to be an official product. I'm not holding my breath or anything, but there's still at least a slim chance of that being the situation. We'll just have to wait and see.

The only similarity is that they're both the same character. every detail, every last one, is different. head, body, arms, legs, they're all a completely different design.

Yeah, the only thing that makes them the same is that they both represent Frumble.

But by now, the "it's fansproject" whispers have soaked in, and won't come out no matter how hard you scrub.

I still hold on that its a official Hasbro design, and I will continue to hope until I hear a garage kit announce its theirs
