I honestly want to see THIS:

After a long final battle between his arch-nemesis,

Optimus Prime gets behind Megatron, takes out one of his arm blades, grabs the other end with his free hand and using it like a big saw, skins off Megatron's scalp from front to back, exposing his brain. Megatron screams in pain, an inaudible pain alien to the ears of men.

"This is for Jazz, Jetfire, and all the countless lives your selfish quest for power has destroyed!"

Optimus jams the sword straight down through Megatron's skull, the glowing blade visible through Megatron's gaping maw. Prime then digs deeper, shoving his whole hand into Megaton's skull and rips out his entire spine, pulling it straight up through the overlord's brain casing. Megatron's eyes pop back into his head from the sockets and follow, attached, to the rest of this spiny mess of internals as Prime continues to remove it in one swift action. Finally, Megatron's spark chamber emerges, which Prime quickly grabs hold of, contemplating his next action...

"All these eons, countless generations lost, and it comes to this *CRACK!* I thought you were made of sterner stuff..."

Optimus shatters the spark in his hand, fragments drizzle through the gaps of his fingers. He breathes a sure sing of relief, knowing that the Cybertronian wars have finally come to an end. They are no longer Autobots, no longer Decepticons, ALL ARE ONE. They are "THE TRANSFORMERS."

Fade to Black. Roll credits.

 

My idea for a good ending would be Megatron still living after a massive battle and maybe they should end up back in Cybertron... and in an epilogue, it shows that the war never ends so it lets the audience imagine what happens XD

OR.... Megatron in total disgrace/whatever suicides while the rest of the decepticons and starscream goes to war and all get pwned

because of starscream, megatron should suicide for some reason


EDIT: but i reckon, if he has to die, then they should make the scene pretty much revolve around him and make it quite sad and epic and the AUDIENCE MUST FEEL PITY for him otherwise theres no point in killing him

 

Optimus could wear Sam as some kind of armour. Or swing him around like a sword. Or both.
Sam as Optimus Prime's Headmaster companion. Ew.

And then at the end of the film they smile and wink to the camera and do thumbs up and shout 'Teamwork!'.

 

I'd like to just see him beat down and defeated...unless the next movie is the last of the current movieverse, then castration!

Also it would be awesome if there was nothing left on earth for the decepticons to want or use to CONQUER TEH UNIVERZ and so they are still here because of Megatron's personal vendetta against Optimus. So as you said, the others would get fed up with his shit, kill him themselves and then get the fuck outta here. Though it will never happen like that.

So assuming the third and presumably the last movie (at least until a reboot) ends with a "the threat is gone forever yay peace", what would the autobots do on earth? They'd get awfully bored I suppose. Or would they go back to cybertron or smth?

 

Soundwave betraying Megatron?

Actually, I remember reading something in the movie bios that Soundwave is actually Megatron's second in command and Blackout was 3rd in command. Poor old Screamer isn't in the top 3 even though he thinks he is 2nd in command. It then said something to the effect of Megatron and Soundwave eventually want to exile or kill Starscream once Soundwave arrives on earth, so that he can finally take his rightful place by Lord Megatron's side as his true 2nd in command. Blackout was killed and so was Grindor, so there's an opening for spot #3. I wonder who will fill that? Knowing Starscream, he will probably try to weasel his way into that 3rd place slot even if he isn't wanted there, just so he can stay close to his main target: Megatron.

 

At Prime's hands!! Definitively!!

 

Here's what I say:

Megatron dies at Prime's hands, but only because Starscream and Soundwave doublecross him and severely damage him while Prime and Megatron are beating the crap out of each other.

 

Death by Wheelie.....Tee Hee! From Megan Fox to Megatron, the line remains the same: "You're hot, but you're not that bright.....Bitch!"

 

Jazz should should totally come back and kill him!

 

Of course Prime should do it.

 

I don't even care which, I want Megs to find his end at the hands of a decepticon/decpeticons, or at least have them play a major role in bringing Megs down. We need some treachery between the decepticons themselves to show that they really are DECEPTIcons : P

 

Megatron suddenly becomes heroic and he and Optimus skip off, hand in hand, into the sunset.

I would like to see a classic Prime/Megs Autos/decepts Tag team up againts a greater foe.

Maybe the movie could end with megs and prime resolving the blood feud but still not enough to work together.

or The two leader could go their own seperate way like Prime Staying on earth (Duh) and the Decepticons could do whatever they want on other planets.

I had this really badass scene playing in my head the other day, with an Optimus/Megatron showdown in the fiery ruins of Washington DC, culminating in a slo-mo shot (complete with dramatic music) of Optimus shooting Megatron through the head.
