What constitutes as failing? letting fellow fans down or $$$. If it is the latter then it will not fail. Box office revenue is what is used when deciding it is a failure. Critics don't mean shit where it is concerned and neither do we for that matter.

look, I'm not saying Transformers is strictly movie-verse. I'm just saying the movies made me a fan of the franchise, and because of that, I learned to love G1 and animated. All I'm saying is that the movie-verse is my favorite continuity, but I still love others.

Maybe its good? I mean, there is nothing wrong in changing writers as long the new one does a good work. Besides Oci and Kurtzman werent bad writers for the TF franchise: they did a good job for TF1 and, yes, time didnt play weel for them in ROTF.

As someone who loved both the first movie and ROTF (I know, I know - I'm a "bad" fan and should get off the forums), I don't know how this will effect the 3rd movie, but I'll wait and see. Since I like Bay's work on the movies, having him still there should keep it on track for fans like me.

I wish there was a "Movieverse Fans" sub-forum where I could talk TF movieverse with fellow fans. I can't stand all the constant flaming and fighting and over-the-top anger and such in the general Movie forum.

I'm gonna be neutral in this matter. Despite the dings and quirks in the writing of both films, the first film was spectacular, and I like ROTF even more than the first film. I'm not forcing anyone to say the same, but that's just how my personal taste in the two films rolls.

I certainly don't wish there were a "movieverse fan" sub forum, frankly I want people to disagree with me. It makes life interesting. Besides, I'm kind of middle of the road with the movies, I enjoyed them, found them entertaining, but also found a lot of faults with them. Anyway, I'd hate to imagine a world where everyone agrees with me, how boring that would be. I've generally found that while we all here at TFW may disagree we mostly do so respectfully.
