???? i feel like i am using dialup compared to you guys Speakeasy Speedtest results: at my house, I have Roadrunner (midlevel; was told the top tier wasn't worth the expense) and I use a wireless router. So how do you get 12-15 download speeds? kinda wish I had FIOS... Would anyone want to post HughesNet speeds? I used to have it and it wasn't great.

I never even tested my internet speed until a few days ago. I was downloading some files for work, and I noticed that it took a lot longer to download them on my laptop at home than it did at work. Apparently my download and upload speeds are abysmally slow. Yet I have no trouble streaming videos. I don't play any super-complicated games like World of Warcraft, but I can play games on sites like Miniclip just fine. Is this normal?
From my N10. This isn't accurate, though. Wired, and hitting the server in Cheyenne, I'm usually around 28 down, 8 up. Also, I'm moving 10gb worth of files over my WiFi to the device right now.

You mean using your wifi signal? If you have a mac, it will automatically tell you if another device is using the same IP Address, though that can be caused by a number of different things. I don't know if there's any other easy way to tell. My router lets me set up a password that prevents other people from using it. In fact, I think most routers come with that option.
Pretty shitty apparently, but judging where I live that's no surprise. Never really had issues surfing or whatever, though.
Mine and Upload speed supposed to go up soon. Speedtests are somewhat unreliable mind you, lot of things can interfere with the test and slow it down. For those with really low scores though, i'd contact my ISp and ask them what's up?
